Red Roof Inn Starkville - University

Bij binnenkomst was de vloer zeer vochtig en rook het er muf. Ook het beddengoed was vochtig en had een urine lucht. Wij hebben er alleen even geslapen en ons aan de kraan verfrist en zijn vroeg weggegaan.

i didnt stay there when i arrived mexicans where outside partying with loud music n there were stains on the bed n couch so i left & they wouldn’t refund me n he asked for $100 as a deposit when i arrived

The lady at check in was super friendly and quick so I felt better about the appearance after that, but when I arrived to my room, it was rough. The musty smell was hard at first, there were quite a few flies (probably because 2 large trash cans are lining the rooms outside about every other room & full) & trash was visible around the grounds. Our room had a gross stained floor, stains on the walls and generally just gross vibes. I do say the bed was nice and firm (PLUS) but no working TVs!

We’ve stayed here before and it was fine, but this time the A/C didn’t work, there was no WiFi, the bed was hard and the floor was dirty.

I had a reservation but when we walked in the room….it smelled like sewage, mold mildew was on back of sofa (we moved it to try to allow more cool air to escape), door facing is nasty, air conditioner was filthy. Amazingly the room was neat and bed was good however, the pillows under the pillow cases were badly used and yellow. The bathroom was clean. The manager refunded our money and we found another motel. It’s a sketchy area and nasty outside the door.

So Bad! Smells like urine & Black & Milds. Broken glass all over the parking lot, outdoor common area trashed. Over flowing garbage cans, stained sheets, no breakfast, dirty stained furniture. Dangerous, health hazard . So damn BAD! I know there are cheap motels but the pics in the add are NOT representative!!!

No soap,no phone,no WiFi,iffy neighborhood.unsafe bathtub, no handler no skid mat, very slippery. Will never go to another Red Roof.$90 for bad experience!

This was one of the nastiest motels weve ever paid good money for. I’m surprised it didn’t have a vibrating bed. The smell in our room was so bad, it infiltrated our clothing. My CPAP filtered the air and I took it home and it had the same smell in it. I had to clean it thoroughly and replace the filters just from staying here. There were holes in the walls with bugs. There’s nothing redeeming about this experience.

Roaches

This hotel is horrific. Please don’t stay here. There are dangerous people lurking in the corners, even the front desk locks their reception door for fear of attack. The rooms are uninhabitable. Everything is old, dated and unappealing. The bathroom was worse. Stained tub, shower curtain and towels. The front door has no chain in place and the lock was so weak a single thud from the outside would break it down. The neighbourhood is so noisy. There were people having a barbecue right in front of the rooms at past 12 midnight and making loud noises. I had to leave I couldn’t stay. I can’t emphasize enough please do not stay here. I’m an avid traveller who hardly leaves reviews but I feel duty bound to let my fellow travellers know about how bad and unsafe this place is. It should be shut down.

No towel in room, no shower curtain

So unsafe we were not able to stay. Front desk was very unhelpful and we ended up leaving after he refused to help us and or move our room. Couch was untouchable and sheets looked like they hadn’t been washed, just remade. Stains everywhere and disgusting.

The toilet hasn’t been cleaned in I don’t know how long.

The walls were dirty. The front office is renovated and clean, but the rooms are not well kept. The tub was even dirty looking

This property should be shut down! We couldnt even stay here,it left us in a bind because all of the motels in Starksville were booked! This place was filthy, unkept,had roaches, dirty beds and not safe at all!! Nothing like the pictures! Don't waste your time and money here!

Convenient and close to the dark horse

The lady was nice at check in/check out. When I got to the room there was a strong musty smell of smoke and a couch that may have been a crime scene. There were no cushions on it. It looked like it should be in the dumpster, which was conveniently located by the stairwell.
