Front desk staff was indifferent except to fellow coworkers. $75.00/night incidental fee excessive for property location.

Walking in there is a smell; a strong smell like Febreze, however, it is there scent. Their very own scent. Designed to bother asthmatics. One should be warned. It is awful, fills your lungs and mouth with the taste of it. I would like to know what it is, because I wasn't warned and am sure it is poison. Also, the towels were shredded and see through? Why? I expect that at a cheap motel. Can't stay where they have this scent. Someone didn't think that through at all!

I loved the cleanliness and ambiance of the hotel room. The room that we had was spacious, bright and warm. The front desk staff was respectful and informative. I will definitely be back during my future stays in Newport Beach. The room was missing a fire detector, but the technician came to the room with 5 mins and fixed it. Everyone was professional. My wife and I truly enjoyed our stay.

I have been staying at this hotel for 30 years and it keeps getting better. Have stayed at other properties, but it is always my go to spot.

It was a great and peaceful hotel experience. Highly recommend to anyone who is looking to stay in a very quiet and secure area.

The hotel itself and staff were fine. It’s the valet company used by the hotel that is separate from hotel. My car was damaged by a luggage cart falling from the curb onto my car (missing my head by 6 inches) breaking the tailgate door and rear lights. After submitting a claim for the damages, I received notice (3 weeks later) that they aren’t covering the costs to repair my car. This is unacceptable, unprofessional and actions out of bad faith. Because of having to use Towne Park Valet when staying at the hotel, I will no longer stay at the hotel.

We stayed for one night for a celebration in the area. We were greeted warmly at the reception and staff was very helpful. Room our clean and comfortable and they had Aveda bath products in the shower. We will definitely stay here again when in the area. The only bad part was that the hotel charges $43 for sleeping parking and $48 for valet. I understand valet parking in the area is expensive, however to charge $43 for self parking is ridiculous.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Renaissance. A beautiful and updated hotel!! So many wonderful amenities and a great place for our family trip. I would stay here again and recommend this hotel to anyone.

Nice place.

Bathroom sink wouldn’t drain. Friday and Saturday night other hotel guests were so loud in the hallway of my room. Slamming doors, screaming, running up and down the halls until really late hours.

Renaissance is a beautiful and quiet place The rooms are perfectly clean and comfortable The food in the restaurant is very delicious
