Rodeway Inn Magic Mountain Area

My Mom has Dementia with additional symptoms appearing as the Dementia worsens. We planned a 2 day adventure. We drove until dark. Then I booked us a room at Rodeway in, on my phone, through Expedia. The booking had a “no refund” notification. Which I wasn’t concerned about. I had booked the room for that night and it was only 15 minutes away from my location. I drove right to Rodeway Inn. My Mom waited in the car while I checked us in. I pulled up and parked in front of the door to our room. My Mom said, unexpectedly, I’m not going in there. When I asked why she said she didn’t know if the sheets and blankets would be cleaned properly. I tried to explain how the cleaning was done. Also, how inspections were done to be sure that requirements were met. Otherwise, the business would be fined and/or shut down. My Mom was insistent on not sleeping there. She wanted to sleep at home. Which was a 2 hour drive away. I stopped at the front desk to explain this unusual situation and ask if I could get my money back. The representative said I would need to contact Expedia. So I did. I was being so patient with my Mom. But considering the possibility of no refund was so frustrating. Expedia rep. said I could send an email to the manager or the Expedia Rep. could do it. I asked the rep. to. I drove the 2 hours back home. Expedia sent emails to the manager of Rodeway Inn, who replied that no refund would be given. Under the circumstances this is unreasonable.

Very dirty

I had a reservation for Saturday night ( 1/11/25 ). Upon entering hotel, no one was to be found at or near front counter, we waited for like a good five minutes. Once staff appeared, the check in process was horrible! I initially handed him cash as my form of payment, however I immediately changed my mind and decided to use my debit card instead. I kindly asked for my money back but staff was not ok with giving me back my money. I literally had to demand my cash back! To make matters worse, once I found the room I was assigned to, imagine my surprise finding a man inside!! At this point I hurriedly left and went back to the front desk. I explained to staff about the gentleman in the room I had been assigned to and was basically told I was lying!! By the end of it all, I informed him how unhappy I was with everything and that I would be calling Choice Hotel about my experience there, at that point he offered me a refund and was left with no room for the night!! Worst customer service EVER.

No phone in room, no wash cloths, in disrepair, large gap around doors so cold came in, no protein for breakfast. Was close to food and freeway was a plus.

I have stayed here several times. This time the property was very very dirty. Trash everywhere. In the halls, the pool, the parking lot, and even inside the ice machine. I dont think we will be staying here anymore.

did not like the noise factor othwise my stay was rather pleasant

There were no towels in my room and the internet code expired hours before my checkout.

This was the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Very unsafe as there are homeless people everywhere. Gangs gathered in the parking lot all night. The room was so dirt and gross after my cold shower all I did was walk to the bed and my feet were black. Blood stains on the pillows bugs I the bed.

The owner I am guessing was more than accomodating!! This was an epic trip for me. The first time when I took my hubby to magic mtn we stayed here and our final time to magic mtn we satyed here AND got the same room, completely accidental
