This was a great hotel in a great location. The staff was very friendly. The view from the rooftop lounge was amazing. Next trip to San Diego I will definitely stay here again. The only negative side for me was the parking and no free WiFi.

outside view is blocked by next buildings. One big trouble is temperature control. There is no room heating control during the night. In June, San Diego is very cold during the night.

Our stay was convenient and service was quick and friendly. Elevators were slow but was acknowledged through posted signs. My biggest concern was that someone opened our door at 9 am. Thankfully we had the security lock in place but is still concerning. We did not have the privacy sign on the door but even if it was house keeping, they should have knocked prior to opening the door.

For $530+ a night:
- no free Internet
- outrageous valet parking costs (plus daily tips of $20+/-
- electric outlet plugs in desk were extremely loose: device chargers and connectors had to be taped in place
- no refrigerator
- no extra towels or kleenex when I got into the room

Because of the Padres game, the street was blocked to check in. The person in charge wouldn't let me in. I had to circle a few blocks and insist.
Also, someone knocked at my door around 6am twice. that person came back around 7am, knocked again and finally passed out in the hallway. I hope that person is ok.

Place didn’t have a pool or a spa. Kind of a bummer being a Marriott not having these for our family. Kids were bummed. I asked at the front could help us out and find a place to use your pool but no help. Ended up using resort pass.
