Silver Surf Motel

We were there for Hearst Castle. It was nice and close and was clean and quiet. For us the only thing missing was no morning continental breakfast. Our room had a nice shower but no bath. We had coffee in our room and very restful.

The stay was nice but the only got 4 stars be the refrigerator in our room was not working and the pillows were hard as a rock. Other than that it was a nice stay.

Clean and comfortable. Had an issue with the TV. Went to the office but no one was there. Phone in room did not work but used our cell phone to call the front desk. Veronica came to our room and solved the problem.

It was alright. I notice the bedroom wasn’t fully clean.

Good location, clean room, but one of the bed frames was broken and unstable. Door handle needed repair. Maid service was reliable and did a good job.

The coffee machine is leaking. But overall the property is prefect. The room size is big and clean. Staff is more friendly, nice and helping. I will stay it again if I will travel there.

We’ve been coming to this place for over 25 years. We come back for the indoor pool. Appreciate the recent upgrades of laminate flooring. Also enjoy that it’s pet friendly and that they have a large open space to walk pets. Definitely coming back!

Fair price , convenient location for the places I went to visit. NO breakfast included even though it was advertised when booking. Bedroom had only blinds, no curtains, hand soap dispenser broken. Average service for price.

horrible stay. when we got into our room there was no where to put our clothes except for 5 hangers and a shelf that was very small....there was no luggage stand, no drawers we were a family of 3 for a 3 night stay had to leave our clothes in our suitcase never have i had to do that. then when i did ho to put my daughter clothes on shelve i noticed it was grainy so inpulled out the wipes and oh my gosh none of the surfaces had been wiped down. there was a phone in room but no lines connected to it. there was no AC it had a slow moving fan and it was muggy.the first morning after i went to front because on web site it says they have english breakfast for a charge that was a lie. they had no breakfast. then the 2nd day we were they we had went out for the day and when we got back the power had been out all day and the motel didnt even have the decency to contact us and let us no so the milk we had in fridge was warm.The hot tub was a joke it fit 3 people if that. This was an overall horrible stay. Never returning to this place. I have photos but will not let me upload

We arrived on time 3pm yes someone in office not friendly. Said they have breakfast available. Nope. Coffee maker broke. First night we couldn’t get TV to work. Called went to office no one there. So we went with out. Second day went to off 4 times also called no answer. Found a maid she called someone to fix tv. Won’t stay here ever again

Awesome one of the better rooms I’ve said at so far !

The property looks clean especially at the front desk. But inside the room, its dusty and dirty, wiping the countertop is extremely dirty. Coffee maker has white residue, fridge was really bad, food stains and water drips. Then microwave, disgusting with food overflow stains.. Jorge was nice to offer change rooms but we just stayed since I cleaned it with clorox wipes already.. Bed is clean somehow. Linens have holes though..

No hubo electricidad por 5 horas desde que hicimos check in ,se escuchaba mucho ruido toda la madrugada y se volvió a ir la luz por la madrugada . lo siento pero no pasé una noche agradable .

The beaches were across the street ... well highway though easy and safe to cross. The location is great for Hearst castle, elephant seals and Cambria. There are walkable options for food too.
