Checked in at 9:30pm. Receptionist was nowhere to be found. When she finally showed up she was not personable at all. Barely spoke 2 words to me. We went to our room which was not clean. Bed was unmade. Garbage can was overflowing with garbage. Used towels on bathroom floor. We went back to the receptionist to make her aware of the situation. Her response was “What do you want me to do about it?” When we said we wanted the situation rectified. She told my husband he had an attitude. After she was unable to reach the hotel manager she begrudgingly “cleaned” the room with another coworker who at least was apologetic and polite. The carpet was never vacuumed and given the short amount of time they spent “cleaning” I’m sure it was not done thoroughly. After finally settling in we tried to turn on the tv The remote control was missing a back and the batteries were held in with tape. It barely worked. We were lucky to be able to raise the tv volume. Changing the channel would have been impossible. The bathroom had mold on the ceiling and the shower light was not working. The shower consisted of a shower hose hung limply from the wall with no way to affix it to the wall. Never ever, ever again will we stay at this hotel.

Girl at the front desk was super nice. There were some rowdy individuals in the room above me and beside me. Can't really control that. No complaints about the property. I think Morgantown itself needs more street lighting especially in that area. It's very confusing navigating around to get food at night if you need to drive a bit.

As expected. Just off the highway so good location for an overnight sleep. Quiet.

Ironing board but no iron

Clean. Staff was friendly. Only complaint was limited parking but hotel was booked full due to power outage in the area.

First time at a Sonesta..and likely our last. It was convenient. The check in person was nice The room seemed ok, until it began to smell. We figured it was someone cooking fish or worse next door but it didn’t dissipate overnight. It didn’t help our bathroom fan was broken. Breakfast was a joke. Stale Biscuits, gravy, a little bread. A community pitcher for juice (oh, that's sanitary) The link won't let me upload photos. I went to report the smell and ask about milk for the oatmeal and the lady looked at me like I shot her dog. No thanks..

Very quiet nice staff

The whole place reeked of weed. Gravy at the breakfast bar tasted like cleaner. Zero eye contact from staff, who told us the wrong room # at check in. Bathtub had a big hole in the bottom that had been patched. Broken bathroom tiles. TV was so old and had terrible reception. The place just felt damp. Water pressure in the shower was OK until someone flushed the toilet and it completely went away. I had to re-start the shower (off, then back on again) TWICE just to finish showering.

Paid for a suite, got to the hotel and was down graded to a room with a mattress smaller than a queen and also had to have a cot brung in for my guest

Stay away. You don’t get the room you book weeks in advance. And they don’t help. Awful.

There was no hot water, I asked them to fix the hot water and only got like warm water. Water was not warm enough for a shower!!

it was very nice and close to the Evansdale campus

Dingy and minimal. Gaps around the room door that give you a rare glimpse into the hallway even with the door shut so you can really see who is knocking. Breakfast includes delicacies like bread in a sandwich bag. This sonesta is so "essential" they provide one towel. Luckily the window was able to be opened wide so if I came to my senses before spending the night I had the option to throw myself down to the parking lot.

I have stayed here several times for Doctor appointments. Usually average. This time they put me on the first floor in a room adjoining the lobby/breakfast area. Besides the steady people traffic on the main floor, at 5 AM a group of workers converged for conversation and laughter. Not pleasant when you plan to sleep until 7:30! Lots of vehicles revving engines and beeping horns before 6 am. They really need to up the breakfast selections too. Most all carbs, no fruit, no protein.

My room was given away on arrival hotel was fully booked booked and paid in advance communicated with hotel in advance about arrival time

Wifi was brutally slow. The shower and bathroom were bad too

Very run down. Heater broken. Tv remote broken. The front desk staff was nice and tried to help but the room we were assigned is not fit to be rented out. We were exhausted and it was clean which is the reason we didn’t move to another hotel
