The Patrician Hollywood Universal

The Patrician is by far the best stay I've had when visiting California. Clean, friendly, cordial, interesting, Not too close and not too far from everything.Thank you T.J. for everything!

Parking is a bit of a challenge but manageable.

This is a lovely historic property, close in proximity to Hollywood and Universal Studios. The room and overall residence is clean, cozy and welcoming. The host, TJ is incredibly attentive and a charmer. Refreshments and Breakfast is top-notch. All-in-all, a wonderful stay.

This is an extremely unique, charming, historical property in a beautiful area which is just begging to be explored. The house itself warrants a longer visit to appreciate the care and attention paid to making it endlessly interesting, and TJ enhances the entire experience with his hospitality and knowledge. I highly recommend staying here for a delightful respite from the fast pace of LA while being ideally situated.

I was fortunate to book a stay at the Patrician Hollywood Universal when I flew into town for a convention. Beautiful house with exceptional outdoor space and clean and comfortable rooms. It is good to know going in that you are paying for a room in lovely home. So it is not your average hotel. However the host is always available and there is breakfast ready for you every morning. One of the things I loved about the Patrician is that it was an engaging and intimate stay. I got to meet with the other house guests and we all sat around a table drinking and eating and sharing stories of our travels. Another thing I liked that may be a deal breaker for some is that there were no TV's in the rooms (at least not in mine). However I found that refreshing as it gave me a break from the tube and allowed me a more refreshing stay. However the absolute best part of my stay was the host himself. TJ was by far the greatest host I've ever come across and has set the bar very high for my next many travels. I will definitely be booking again at the Patrician. Thanks for chocolate croissant!

Beautiful unique property kept immaculate by the wonderful host TJ.

Its an excellent place to spend time close to everything but yet away from the hustle. A very clean, scenic and comfortable setting to relax and recharge for the next day. If you are lucky enough to have a conversation with TJ you will leave smiling wishing you can stay longer.

Absolutely above our expectations in every aspect. The host, T.J., was exceptio nal at checkin, making recommendations, and providing top-notch accommodations for our stay. Without a doubt will seek staying at the Patrician again AND would recommend close friends & family to stay if in the area. An absolute and unexpected treat!

Beautiful B&B in the hills of Pasadena with a welcoming and friendly host. Easy access to old town Pasadena through Lyft/Uber. Excellent breakfasts and late night cocktails.

We stayed their rhe night of our wedding. The host TJ upgraded us and brought us martinis when we arrived. The place is beautiful and the view is spectacular. We had a personal breakfast experience with TJ the next morning. We had a lovely time. Also, it was a great value for the price.

We had a delightful time at this estate -- very different from just your cookie cutter hotel stay! TJ was an amazing host -- interesting conversation, yummy snacks and breakfast and just did everything he could to make us feel comfortable. The backyard is gorgeous and was lovely to relax in after we came back from dinner out. The interior of the home is magnificent -- so tastefully decorated with unusual, but beautiful decor.

WOW! The Patrician is the place to be if you want to relax and take in the views. My husband and I highly recommend this wonderful location as a fun getaway. The best part was our host TJ. His hosting skills are on point. He provided the classy finishing touches to our stay at this beautiful home hidden in the hills. Tj keeps the house immaculate and has fresh flowers throughout the house. TJ also made us a delicious breakfast. We enjoyed our breakfast in the kitchen with another couple and TJ. It was a lovely morning.Can't wait to recommend this place to anyone that will listen. Thanks TJ!

Wow!! I loved everything about this place. Beautiful, clean, and the host was very attentive in ensuring that I was enjoying my stay. He would wake up in the mornings and make breakfast. An amazing experience!

Great room, great service and a beautiful view!

Beautiful and unique property with fabulous canyon and downtown pasadena views. That was enough to make us give this place a five star review. But TJ, the host, took it to the next level - he was incredibly generous and personable - if we could, we’d give him a 10 star review. We are already planning a second visit.

TJ the host is absolutely one of the best people for this job. He treats you like family. This place is extremely organized and clean. One of my favorite places to stay in Los Angeles area.
