The Sierra Motel

We really enjoyed our stay at this nostalgic little motel. Clean rooms, fun vintage vibes, and friendly service made it a memorable stop. Perfect mix of charm and comfort—would definitely stay again!

Fun stay with great rooms. The owners were incredibly lovely from beginning to end. You can tell this is a real passion project for them. Rooms are super cute and well appointed. Wonderful shower pressure as well.

Stayed in Traverse City for two nights. Took my E bike with me to ride sleeping bear amd lelanau trails. This is in a good location close to the downtown dining and bar district. I was able to ride to that area in 5 to 10 minutes. Very clean. Owners stay on site and are very friendly. Not your typical motel. Very clean and comfortable. Definitely would stay here again.

Very nice little motel. The style is fun and the rooms are very clean and nice. The remodel money was spent in all the right places. The beds are comfy. I would stay here again!

This is a tremendous place to stay. The owners went all out on the Mid-Century Modern theme for the rooms amd even accommodate our (extremely) late check-in cheerfully. I don't sleep well in hotels, but the beds here are very comfortable. I would be straining at gnats to find a complaint! Highly recommended!

Nice old-school vibe but freshly renovated and really well-kept. The staff was awesome, and the owner went above and beyond—he jumpstarted my car and even came out first to check on me. Super helpful and friendly, even gave us great local recommendations since we were just passing through. I’d definitely stay here again

The Sierra Motel has a vintage look with all the modern amenities. Although the traffic noise can be a little loud, that was nothing that earplugs couldn’t fix. Everything has been updated and is very clean. We loved that we had a fridge, microwave, and Keurig. The staff is very friendly and accommodating.

The owners went above and beyond with their motel. Charging for electronic devices, nicely renovated rooms/bathrooms in mid century style, free parking, pet friendly, coffeemaker, fridge - very pleasant stay. We spent two nights and can only recommend Sierra Motel.

Was a great place for our short stay with a pet. It’s obvious lots of hard work went into the updates and details of this motel. Super cute and fun retro decor. Extremely clean room and linens. Very comfortable bed (but wished I had brought a pillow, those only get 2-stars). Wonderfully quiet for relaxing and resting (thick walls and door, I am a light sleeper and I heard nothing outside). Such very nice owners and so accommodating. Would definitely love to stay here again.

Super cute retro styler hotel - good sized rooms and all the basic needs plus a few cute touches. Dog friendly is a huge plus. Will absolutely stay here again!

Wonderfully mid century modern

This has been by far the best stay we've had in Traverse City. They were able to get us an early check in and the staff was so nice and welcoming. Defiantly will be staying here from now on!

Really cute motel. We couldn't hear anybody else from the room we had in the corner. It wasn't an issue for us but the ice machine is in the lobby and the lobby was closed most of the time we were there so definitely plan for that if you need ice. Close to beaches, very walkable area. Owners were very friendly. We would definitely stay again!
