Wow! Very well kept, beautiful place all around. Could not have asked for a better view. Just amazing in the morning, noon and night. Highly recommend.

Stunning views, great location and attentive hosts.

During the first full day of our four-night stay, the unit lost power around noon while the island was experiencing outages. We notified the property contact at approximately 1:00 p.m. and were told power would return within 30–60 minutes. By 6:00 p.m., power had not been restored, and we were informed the water would be turned off in an effort to restore power. At approximately 7:30 p.m., we reported that our unit still had no power or water. We were then informed the water supply was connected to a neighbor’s generator, which was no longer available. Without running water, we had to use pool water to flush the toilet. After I sent a picture of the unit below us with power and us without, the property owner indicated the generator was not functioning and that someone would be sent to repair it. Our rental agreement stated the unit had a generator and continuous water access. Power returned around midnight. The next morning, we secured alternate accommodations and left. The property owner issued a partial refund and advised us to contact Hotels.com regarding any additional reimbursement. We feel we were not made whole.

The views are outstanding! Loved having the pool. Great property. Loved the proximity to Red Hook. Enjoyed several restaurants including 3 Palms, Duffy’s, Hooked and Tasty Sips and Bites. Highly recommend and would stay here again!

Worth it just for the view!

The villa was lovely. Gorgeous views, very clean and well equipped. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Great sized space for 2 to 3 people. Absolutely gorgeous view and each bedroom has its own slider to just walk out on. Plenty of air conditioning to escape the humidity. The view comes at a cost though.. the hill is very steep and taxis are expensive so I suggest renting a car. The restaurants at the bottom of the hill are fantastic for all types of meals. Grocery shop at Moe's down the hill to grill out on the deck. The ferry to St. John is right across from you and to see the beautiful beaches and sea turtles at Maho. The property manger was always accessible and very accommodating! We are definitely staying at Vista Marina again. Everyone on the island was so friendly, also!

The beds in both rooms were great. We enjoy a firmer bed so they were just perfect. Plenty of restaurants and grocery store at the bottom of the hill and you can take a short taxi to additional options. The owners and management team were very thoughtful with the additional amenities within the unit!! We cooked breakfast and two dinners and had all the utensils. The coffee options were amazing!!

This property has a stunning view of Red Hook and Vessup Bay, St John and other islands. The beds were comfortable; the kitchen has some dishes and cookware and a cooler that was very handy to take to the beach. You need a car with four wheel drive to get up the road to the property (road is steep and narrow). Close to the car ferry, and grocery stores, which is very convenient. We had a great time.

Hidden beauty

The view from the balcony and pool was incredible.

We loved the access to the ferry and St. John's national park beaches. The access to grocery and restaurants was great. The hill is steep and a workout; but, the views at the condo are well worth it. Also, taxis are plentiful near the ferry dock. Delano, with the property management company, was fantastic and really helpful.

This location is absolutely perfect - great view of St. John and parts of St. Thomas - right below is the ferry. It is quiet and comfortable

The property has a great view of Red Hook Bay. Easy to get to St. John via boat ferry. The inside of the property is beautiful but we lost power and water for few hours. The beds are hard, I personally like softer bed.

Pros: beautiful apartment with a spectacular view of the ocean and harbor. Comfortable beds and furniture and a balcony that was like a gateway to heaven. The host was friendly and happy to help. Had many unexpected extras like beach towels, sunscreen and an XBox. Cons: getting to the apartment was like climbing a very crumbly road to the top of Mt. Everest. It was not easy to get to and the cab drivers took full advantage of the fact that the climb up was difficult on foot and charged an arm and a leg just to take you up the hill. We tried it by foot…once. Do not recommend. Next, there is a set of stairs that leads down to the apartment door. The last step is hanging on by its fingernails. It felt sturdy, but it absolutely did not look sturdy. The air conditioning was awesome, but we had to spend a night without it in one of the bedrooms. Luckily it was working in the main room and the other bedroom. It was fixed the next day but I feel like it was something that should have been fixed before we got there. One final complaint is that when the power went out (it is an island after all) there wasn’t any working water. Not having access to water in a tropical climate is not good. There were several properties nearby that had generators. At the very least having a small one so access to water isn’t affected would be good.

The view is amazing, we loved relaxing on the deck having our morning coffee or evening nightcap and just watching the harbor. Don't let the steep hill concern you, it’s well worth the privacy and ideal proximity to Red Hook. The pool is another added bonus. We highly recommend this property!
