We were a family. It was a great place to stay for the night while waiting for the ferry to Dublin. Fun time in the restaurant-pub on trivia night. Excellent breakfast.

A lot of dust in the room. Appeared clean on first look, but around the headboard, light fittings and curtains it was thick with dust. Nothing a good hoover wouldn’t fix. Very convenient for the Holyhead ferry with places to eat opposite. Would have eaten in the bar, but the chef that night couldn't cater for our dietary requirements despite the menu listing items we could eat. The head chef at breakfast had no issues and provided a great breakfast.

The room we were allocated was very dated and tired. The mattress was old, sagging and not comfortable. The bathroom was equally poor with black mould on the paintwork, loose loo roll holder, insufficient loo paper for two guests over two nights and not restocked! The drench shower was right over the bath tap controls and not thermostatically controlled. My wife nearly got scalded trying to adjust the over bath shower. No warning that the hot water was extremely hot (as an experienced plumbing and heating engineer, I would guess the hot was over 60°C). No grab rail was provided to assist entry into the quite high bath. The worst were the selfish bar staff who where dropping empty beer kegs and emptying tubs of bottles in a skip right under our window until 23.40! Value for money was poor bearing in mind the nightly rate. To be totally objective, there was one positive which was the nicely cooked breakfast. However, even that was tempered by lack of catering for diabetics/coeliacs. No natural unsweetened joghurt and no fresh fruit! Please spend your money wisely and do not waste your money here.

The hotel itself was clean and tidy but the attitude and language of some members of staff was very rude and unhelpful. We were told at check-in that breakfast was served from 7am- 10am but when we came down on our last morning for breakfast at 9.30 we were told that breakfast had finished at 9 am and they couldn’t offer us tost or juice because they were waiting for a delivery! We also had a meal the first night and I was served an undercooked half a chicken! I didn’t realise until I had eaten some and suffered a severe upset stomach and stomach pains during the following day. This was a very disappointing stay and would definitely NOT recommend this hotel! There is a Premier Inn 10 minutes away from The Valley Hotel-book that instead!

Easy parking. Room clean. Nice freshly cooked breakfast

Easy check in the staff were helpful and pleasant throughout my stay. Room was nice and clean with a good walk in shower. Despite going for a single room being a solo traveller the room has very spacious. The food and drinks were also great during my stay.

Bedrooms could benefit from a refurb & new beds. Clean, breakfast good, but decor tired

Comfortable, clean accommodation. Staff were very helpful. Food in the evening was typical pub grub. Breakfast was good. Plenty of parking spaces.

Rooms are tastefully decorated with beautiful on suite bathroom. Staff very good and breakfast freshly cooked and not from a hot plate. Plenty of takeaways nearby but we are in and it was excellent. Only thing I could say against the Valley was nobody on reception. Road noise was also loud but didn’t really bother us too much. All in all an excellent stay and will be using again as a stop over before catching the ferry to Dublin. Well done The Valley and staff.

could not change date due to being snowed in even after taking travel insurance and not informed they were not cooking as the kitchen had been ripped out? will never stay at the valley again or use expedia

Staff were great, good food and very convenient for the ferry.

Family room was great for what we needed. Quite basic but good value for the money. Super easy to check in. Ate in the evening. Staff lovely and food decent. Parking super easy. Perfect pit stop for getting the Ferry at Holyhead.
