The property is very nice, in fact gorgeous! The amenities were convenient. Had a number of meals at Calusa, and the food was exceptional, even if a bit pricey. The service there was very good! Of note is the hostess Melanie, also, waiter Lathish. can't remember names of others. (Marvin at the pool bar was fun.) Only had one meal taco tues at Dry Rocks. It was just "ok" The staff throughout the facility were pleasant, and mostly very friendly and helpful. Regarding negatives. The biggest one was at check in. We had planned to arrive around 4 pm, but due to weather, and flight rerouting we did not pull in until 1 am the next morning. Obviously, we were exhausted. The young lady at the front desk seemed very disinterested, and preoccupied even though at that time there were no other customers. We kept having to ask her to repeat, or clarify things as she often turned her head away from us while she spoke. We asked if there were any weddings planned for the week as we wanted an quiet area. She said there were not. Turned out there were 3! Fortunately the weddings did not bother us at all, and we liked the location of the room. She did not offer to get anyone to help us with are bags which would have been nice.The "bell hops" we met a couple days later said she could have gotten security to help or someone. Only other negative was housekeeping always forgot to leave something, and had to be called. Still all in a very nice place and stay!

We had a wonderful stay!

We had a very relaxing and enjoyable stay. The staff is very warm and friendly. The rooms are very clean and modern. Plenty of privacy on the beach. Lots of fun activities for children. Great experience, highly recommend.

Booked this hotel for a quick getaway. With the exception of the woman at the front desk, the staff were all helpful and friendly. However do not be fooled, this resort is jam packed with children. The rooms have minimal sound proofing so you hear the screaming all day. The “adults only” pool is connected to the loud children’s pool. The beach is full of kids running and screaming. There is a weird system required to get towels for the beach and pool, which is odd for a 4 star hotel (gives motel vibes). Food at the restaurants was okay, but we opted to go off the property the second night which was a blessing. Bogus “resort fee” for things like towels and beach chairs - that price should just be included into the room rate. Overall after weighing the price and what we experienced - I would not stay again.

Absolutely stunning property. Fun events for children. The beach and walkways are magical. Absolutely loved my stay and will be back soon!

Baker's Cay was a nice resort and offered many amenities for families. ( family pool, beach, and activities for kids).This is a pet friendly resort, so be forwarned that there will be dogs at restaurants and barking at night time hours in rooms near by.

-poor customer service, staff at the resort were not welcoming at all, starting from the valet service for our vehicle and checking in to our room at front desk. -we arrived at 3:45pm for our 4pm check in and were told our room wasn’t ready so they suggested we go to the beach or grab a bite to eat at one of the restaurants. we were actually exhausted from our travels and really wanted to freshen up before exploring the resort, so we waited in the lobby and they eventually checked us in late at 4:20pm. But this required us having to complain and stare front desk down. 😅 -i booked an ocean front room w/balcony which is $845 a night and they put us in a room with an obstructed view. There was a huge tree blocking the view of the ocean, I had to complain at the front desk again and was reassigned to another room with a better view of the ocean. No apologies from front desk. -once in the new hotel room, I realized that the floors were still covered with residue from their cleaning solution that hadn’t fully dried yet. It sort of had a chemical smell. -Lastly, there are bugs/critters in our room. None of this felt luxurious. This is probably the worst experience I have had at a resort. Price didn’t match the experience. Please consider other resorts at the keys before selecting bakers cay. You have been warned!

The scenery was beautiful the ocean views and the location of the property is spectacular. Nice activities provided, paddle boarding was fun.

The hotel had a great pool with a waterfall. Actually it was two pools, one for kids and one for adults. But that’s where it stops. We had to call management every day but one to have our room cleaned and bed made. I personally killed two roaches in two days! I personally like to unpack my clothes but there were no drawers to put anything away. We had a high end room, ocean front, balcony and king bed. I would recommend another place.

The resort itself was absolutely beautiful — no denying that. My kids had a great time snorkeling, kayaking, and paddle boarding, and the setting was picturesque. But beyond the scenery, the experience left a lot to be desired. I’ve never encountered a more rude, uncaring, and incompetent group of staff. From the moment I checked in, there were billing issues — my debit card was overcharged, money was taken out twice, and I was overbilled again at checkout. No one seemed concerned or even remotely apologetic about the situation. The food was mediocre at best, which might have been forgivable if the service had been even halfway decent. But here’s the thing — people may forget the details of a room or how nice the pool looked, but they’ll never forget how they were treated. And unfortunately, the way we were treated overshadowed what could’ve been a great family getaway. Until there’s a serious change in staff attitude and competence, I wouldn’t recommend this resort — no matter how beautiful it looks in pictures.

Easy to get to. Friendly staff. Decent restaurant downstairs. Didn’t eat in the one upstairs. Cleanliness is lacking and much needed.

private property was awesome, but 50.00 daily resort fee along with a 13.00 fee for parking which wasn't discussed.
