never recommend this hotel

I was not informed that there was no parking without additional fees of $40-120. I even asked specifically about the parking and the receptionists was vague and unhelpful.

Close to the rib fest

When I was approaching S. High St from the parking lot, I tripped on the uneven sidewalk and experienced a fall. I was bleeding from my hand and face. The Valet on duty quickly came to my aid, provided ointment and bandaids. He was very helpful and concerned. The valets were also helpful when someone came to pick us up; allowed us to park for 10 minutes at the curb and watched our car.

Located in the heart of downtown Columbus, nicely newly renovated rooms. Staff was pleasant and professional.

Always enjoy our stay there

Not exaggerating the smallest hotel room I've ever stayed at. Not recommended for anything other than a solo visit. Parking was already expensive, and we received a ticket for the 20 minutes it took to go on, ask about parking, drop off our bags and leave. $102. Room is clean and nice. But ultimately not worth the money.

I’m writing to express my frustration regarding our recent stay at your hotel (Room 369, Daniel Gent, Sunday, June 29th). What was meant to be a treat for my wife and me quickly turned into a disappointing series of inconveniences. As my wife texted me while I was at the front desk: “We should’ve stayed at Motel 6.” That pretty much summed up the experience. From the moment we arrived, things started going sideways. We waited over 35 minutes for valet service. The woman working the front desk (who was wonderful, by the way) tried calling valet multiple times—nothing. Eventually, we gave up and self-parked, only to find out it cost the same $40 as valet. This was done through a third-party app that was incredibly glitchy. On top of that, parking rates jumped from 8 hours to 24 hours with no in-between option. We were only staying for 15 hours. Why no middle tier? We appreciated the front desk comping us two drink vouchers at the bar. That gesture did help, and both she and the bartender were standout staff members who deserve recognition. But the issues didn’t stop there. We got to our room and found no bar soap to wash our hands at the sink. The shower body wash dispenser was also empty. We returned to the desk to ask for soap. After dinner, we came back to find a refill bottle tossed on the bed, not even installed in the shower. And still—no bar soap. When I asked again, the response was that the hotel “may not offer bar soap.” That’s confusing, since there’s a soap dish

Excellent staff. Beautiful older hotel that has been nicely updated. Great area of Columbus with short walks to other dining/attractions.

While the hotel itself was nice, the area immediately around the hotel seemed to be a construction zone.

I liked the stay but it was old historic property so elevators were small. I did not know there was a coffee shop until I was ready to leave. I believe we were in the heart of downtown but we didn’t explore I had a conference to attend.

Stayed for wedding beautiful event and the food was excellent. I would highly recommend.

Only one elevator was working and that made wait times excessive. Understaffed or poorly trained, not sure, just not a premium experience!

Trouble with key cards- had to go to the desk twice after going to the room and getting declined. A/C unit in the room was loud and startling especially in the middle of the night

Nice clean rooms w/ comfy beds & pillows!

Old hotel, only 1 working elevator that took forever, room safe remained broken after 4 complaints. Had a several business meetings in the restaurant, service took hours, the second meeting the cook was didn't show up to work and we wasted 40 minutes waiting, the chef refused to serve anyone. Horrible service and unmaintained property.

The stay was great....EXCEPT the mind numbing boom boom from music that SHOOK THE WINDOWS! It was late before we could sleep. During this time, we had to BLARE the TV so we could hear over the noise. We were on the 4th floor....Cant imagine what the lower floors experienced.
