Good stay

The booking process was easy and everything went right. From the check in to the check out this hotel was a fabulous experience. Our waiter, Ron, at the hotel restaurant was so professional and fun for two weary travelers. The Doubletree cookies were delicious!! What a great place to be on Easter Sunday. It was happening!!!

Really kind service

Property was nice. There’s a train that comes by and the horn went off at 10 pm and 6am pretty loud. Then the rooms AC had a rattling sound and then one of the elevators was ringing nonstop. Finally it got fixed. Also when we arrived the parking lot was packed and no one could move there car as thsomeone left there car blocking the turn in to check at the front to check in. Turns out the valet had the keys and although saw all the cars decided to not move it until we said something and then he says there’s no parking in valet so we need to park somewhere else?! People were trying to check in- poorly managed as he proceeds to say he is the manager

Noisy, uncomfortable, and the breakfast vouchers were organized poorly.

The location was perfect to attend an event at the Gallo. Had fun walking around downtown Modesto, looking at meals, etc. and there was some good eats. The hotel was clean. The staff was friendly. It was a good breakfast, but I was under the impression I got a free breakfast because that’s what my reservation said and I did not so beware of that. Otherwise I will return.

The staff at this Hilton were generally friendly, and the breakfast was decent—your standard all-you-can-eat buffet with a good variety, though a bit overpriced. The location is convenient, and there’s a nearby garage where you can park for $12 if you want to avoid valet. That said, the hotel has some issues that made our stay less enjoyable. The room had a sliding bathroom door with no lock and no counter space, which made getting ready a bit of a hassle. Our AC wasn’t working, so we had to sleep with the windows open. The room phone didn’t work for local calls, and the door required a hard pull just to shut properly. They don’t replenish the complimentary* water bottles daily. (* You need to be an Hilton member for them to be complimentary.) Also, parking feels a bit like a cash grab. Most of the lot is reserved for valet ($17), leaving limited self-parking, which nudges you toward valet service. All in all, this stay fell short of the Hilton standard. While the location and staff were positives, the lack of attention to amenities and maintenance held it back from being a satisfying experience.

The room was nice and the bedding was good with plenty of pillows. It was nice having an easy-to-program thermostat and that little nightlight in the bathroom. But we missed having a microwave, at least on the same floor. And the fridge needed some serious defrosting.

Conveniently located to Gallo Center for the Arts.

The beds were hard. I didn't get much sleep.

Beautiful room and lovely experience.

Our room was right next to elevators! Super noisy room all night! Upon leaving and checking out the lady who helped us wasn’t very friendly to us. The lady when we checked in she was friendly and made us feel welcome. We have made note of noisy room - to not get again!

I think the bar area lights are too bright, looks like a cafeteria. The room carpet were dirty. The staff was very nice. The area is nice as well. Loved the safety of elevators.

Nice hotel, but don't like having to pay for parking.

Decent room and ok service. Valet was great. Drain in shower was plugged. And alot of shady people around the area.
