This is an iconic hotel in nyc so I had high expectations. The hotel was nice in general, but it took an hour to change my room (bellman didn't show up for an hour) and front desk hung up on my phone call ( I heard they were very busy due to many check-ins ). I don't expect this kind of service for the five star hotel with exceptionally high rate.

Outstanding service. We had such a great time all thanks to the staff and how well they accommodated us.

An absolutely fabulous hotel. The food, spa, staff, and amenities are all amazing and the location is gorgeous. I’ve stayed at a lot of older hotels but this one may be the best of them.

The Carlyle Hotel is simply the best in every category. We love the location on the upper east side. The rich history of the hotel is notable. A trip to NYC is not complete without a stay at the Carlyle!

Excellent hotel

Always love staying in unique and historic properties, and the Carlyle is at the top of that list! Their customer service is top notch, and all of the staff went out of their way to make our stay special!

There is nothing not to like here.

Amazing quality hotel. The staff is amazing and very attentive to all needs. The food is of very high quality and well served. Loved the jazz bar at night and the breakfast in the morning. I definitely give it 5 stars, but need to acknowledge that the gym is many steps below the quality of the rest of the hotel. There are also very limited vegan options in the restaurants, but they make up for it with great espresso! Will definitely return to The Carlyle on subsequent visits to NYC!
