This is an iconic hotel in nyc so I had high expectations. The hotel was nice in general, but it took an hour to change my room (bellman didn't show up for an hour) and front desk hung up on my phone call ( I heard they were very busy due to many check-ins ). I don't expect this kind of service for the five star hotel with exceptionally high rate.

Concierge even tied my husbands bow tie - wonderful stay!

We had a great time at the hotel but unfortunately our room was in a very low floor so we could not appreciate the view.

Well located on upper east side, very friendly and efficient staff, the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in!

This property is andventure into the past of Old NYC when servers and staff dressed in white jackets and used extremely polite language to bring tou back to a time of elegance. The hotel elevators were only big enough for 4 people at a time and the mail shoot is still in use the eating areas were opulant and decorated with fine art and beautiful china. It was a visit back to the time when going to NYC was oh such a fine experience.
