Air conditioning didn’t get as cold as we wanted but everything else was very good. Comfy mattresses and pillows. The 1st level rooms are great for accessing the pool. Convenient location to everything.

The staff was so welcoming and helpful. Loved the location of the hotel.

Excellent breakfast

The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. They recommended great restaurants, were quick with helping me when I had a issue with the TV. The room was clean and spacious!

Great. Would stay again and book through my Hilton Honors next time!

Hotel is in an old building but it well kept. Staff on hand 24 hours a day to assist with anything you need and they respond within minutes. Parking garage is extra but really convenient. Great location for just about everything. The only downside for our visit was a huge tour bus/trailer was parked in the very tight "parking lot" and they yelled at hotel guests as though we were the ones in their way. Otherwise we recommend this hotel.

The location was excellent and the staff was very pleasant. Our room had a weird musty odor and the bathroom was in need of a facelift.

We only stayed for one night but loved it, we will definitely be back.

Took my teen girls to Charleston for a few day getaway. Hotel was a great location, perfect for walking to shopping, dining and many historic sites. And right in the free trolley path, so easy to get around town. Hotel was clean and well appointed, we enjoyed free breakfast and the pool & outdoor seating area. The staff was amazingly helpful and friendly! Note- parking in Charleston is difficult but there is a garage adjacent to hotel for $41/night, even after checking out at 11am we left car all day while we saw sights.

The customer service was excellent. The rooms were cleaned quickly and the breakfast was abundant. Great stay.

Moldy. Lazy housekeeper and no working phone. Noisey with kids running over your head. I was asked if I reported the noise to staff, but nothing was done.

Let me first say that we always love staying at Hampton Inns when we travel for several reasons. They are usually affordable and the free breakfast is a great value. We can always count on it to be clean and comfortable too. This one is no exception and though the building is starting to show its age, it’s nothing a little remodeling couldn’t fix! I’d also like to add that the staff here are very welcoming and friendly and the management was quick to address our needs. Also, the location was so convenient. Close to great shopping and restaurants as well as the museum across the street where there is a replica of the H L Hunley outside. The free shuttle stops right outside the hotel too, which we used to get to the other side of town to visit the Market and Poogans Porch. We could have walked 20 minutes, but this was very nice! We highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Charleston!

We stayed here one night while passing through Charleston. Location was perfect for exploring the city, walkable to restaurants, shops, and waterfront area. Family enjoyed the included breakfast. Air conditioning in room was not functioning properly, huge difference in temperature between hallways and room. No matter what we set the thermostat, it wouldn’t cool. Made for a miserable night’s sleep. Be aware this is a pet friendly hotel. I think because the room was so warm it made the dog smell in our room worse, we even considered going to a local store for air freshener. Overall OK spot for one night, couldn’t have stayed any more though.
