Great location and wonderful staff. Very good value.

Inizialmente l’impressione è buona Ottima posizione e albergo bello. Poi iniziano i problemi. Camera piccola. Zero spazio per bagagli. Il primo giorno non hanno rifatto la camera. Il secondo giorno non hanno pulito il bagno. Non c’è aria condizionata e bisogna tenere la finestra aperta. Non c’è parcheggio. Ti mandano in uno lontano e ti devi arrangiare senza spiegazioni. Non vale assolutamente il prezzo

This hotel is a former 3 star, sliding into 2. The staff was friendly and helpful, no problems there. The room was small, dirty rugs, sink and shower issues. The room was very dark and guessing from the 80s decore, not recently renovated. No phone in the room so any requests included a trip to the front desk. The 'habor view' room didn't show the harbor but a small inlet of docked boats and a building. Not worth the $400USD per night. Very disappointed. The breakfast was adequate and good staff there as well.

The property was in accessible distance to most of the tourist places.

We stayed for 3 nights on our first stop in Scandinavia. The rooms were clean, the beds were extremely comfortable (my husband and I are extremely picky about beds, due to our love of naps and as little back/shoulder pain as possible. ESPECIALLY while fighting back against jet lag,) and the water pressure is great once you figure out the knobs. You do need to be fairly nimble to make it in and out if the shower as there is a rather large step up/down wh entering and exiting. The location was perfect for us, with a beautiful view of the harbor. We slept with the windows open each night, and heard only minimal noise (the bagpiper, and the accordion player were so lovely in the evening, especially while soaking in the tub.) Looking out at the view from our room felt like sleeping in one of those Christmas villages people put on their mantles during the holidays. Another MASSIVE star for this hotel is the breakfast. It was vast, and the quality of the food was terrific. Bergen is an extremely expensive city to eat in and having a great breakfast includes helped a lot! 10/10 would stay again.

Great location and the breakfast buffet had more than usual. A little crowded at times. We splurged on the corner suite and it had wonderful views of Bergen. On the other hand, there are some problems. The plumber did a wonderful job installing a multi-spray shower tower, but unfortunately, the drains couldn’t handle that amount of water runoff, which rendered the fancy features useless. Turned the room into a wet room. And on our third day, we didn’t get another bathmat so I requested one, only to be told that the hotel didn’t supply bath mats? I see other guests have mentioned the pillows. There are 2 sizes — titanic and mini. So I requested a medium pillow, only to be told that the hotel only had what was supplied. We also requested robes and slippers — and you guessed it — not supplied. I lost my comb, so asked for one from the amenity supplies. Nope. No combs.

We stayed at a double deluxe room w fantastic view of Bergen. We can see all the colorful houses, the waterfront, the port, n even the cable car n platform up the mountain. The room was spacious n clean enough but we did find a used mask inside one of the cabinet. 😰 I also want to mention that the shower doors were not the best so water ended up everywhere outside of the shower stall. The breakfast was very good with plenty of choices n fresh items. The location was also good - near the new side of town w shopping n the seafood market, but still it is not far from the old city center - in general, the hotel is well located.

The staff were excellent and we had dinner in The Social Bar and staff there and at the bar were amazing and so was food.

The hotel is conveniently located. The breakfast is excellent. The bed had only a heavy duvet for a blanket. A lighter blanket choice kept in the closet would have been nice as the duvet was too heavy.

Whilst the hotel is well positioned, the design is old-fashioned and it is in need of some updating. Staff were very pleasant.

Nice placement in central Bergen and a decent breakfast buffet. But while the staff was friendly and helpful, the hotel shows its age. Corridors and carpets look old and worn and the whole hotel smells of perfume. The quality does not correspond to the price which is not low.
