I chose Travelodge Sydney through Hotels.com because I wanted to use the swimming pool and enjoy the breakfast service. The notice on the Hotels.com website stated that both amenities were available. However, when I arrived at Travelodge Sydney today, I found that the swimming pool was closed, and breakfast was provided in a bag instead of the expected service. Hotels.com should be held responsible for ruining my trip.

I was worried about the reviews, but when I stayed, I didn't have any problems, so I was relieved and found a bug the day I checked out.. Presumably a cockroach...

I had a lovely stay. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. The breakfast had lots to choose from and was delicious. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. In fact the morning person printed off 15 copies of a 4 page document and did not charge me!! I have stayed here before and will stay the next time I am in Sydney

Breakfast good staff great hot tub and pool under construction

Water seeping from under laminate flooring in room. Our bags were wet in the morning. They moved us to a different room upstairs (no elevator by the way). Dont look under the beds or dressers. The amount of mold in the games room and pool was insane. Pool was constantly merky. They wouldn't discount our room for the inconvenience of moving and having to wash all of our clothes due to the water on the floor. They said giving us the other room was basically good enough. The staff were nice, but the state of the facility and poor customer relations by management were way less than to be desired.

This is a really dirty and rundown hotel, the pictures are nothing like what the hotel really looks like. We checked in and stayed for 2 hours before deciding to ask for a refund and look for another hotel. The carpets are stained and were crunchy when walking on them, the mattress was stained, the washroom was lined with mold and mildew, our toilet wouldn't flush, a line of mildew covered the bottom of the tub. I took pictures of everything and submitted them to Expedia for a refund. Thankfully the staff was great and very understanding. I asked for a refund, they offered me another room, unfortunately they do not have an elevator so that meant climbing stairs and I was travelling with elderly folks who are not able to do that.

The place was old which we knew but just felt dirty. Stains on the carpet and furniture. 2 cold showers. Frustrating check in and no visit from housekeeping until the last day. Breakfast room was extremely hot.

The pool had too much chlorine; it gave us a rash. The hot water only worked for a few minutes before running cold. It looked old and not well-maintained.

Staff are excellent. Breakfast was perfect. Rooms need to be updated. Carpets need to go

Friendly staff, clean rooms, good price

Shower was cold. After 10 mins of running the water, finally got to a somewhat warm temp, but still not what I would consider an adequate temperature for showering. Carpet in room was full of stains. Hotel room and bathroom were desperately in need of an overhaul. Staff was good, initial room had a smoke alarm that was chirping every 30 seconds. Front desk staff graciously changed our room without incident.

The property is quite dated.

the staff were excellent very nice and the room was comfortable. however the breakfast is definitely disappointing it isn't very good and not many options. it could definitely be better.

The rooms are clean, breakfast is sufficient to start the day (there is a choice).

Old and dated...

The staff was excellent, friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a standard hotel free breakfast. Views from the breakfast room and other areas of the hotel were excellent. Several longterm, very noticeable, maintenance issues need to be addressed. Ceiling tile above the shower was mouldy and damp, sagging down, from a long term leak above. The wall near the shower also showed signs of the leak from the room above. Valance above window broken and sagging above window. The hotel needs maintenance now and rooms in this condition should not be rented.

Ok hotel needs Reno

Upon arrival we were assigned to a room that was in complete unacceptable condition to stay in heavily soiled carpets, and dog food was found on the floor, water damage around the windows. There were stains on the lampshade and the wall, there was a very concerning amount of dust around the heating unit, and a thick layer of dust on top of the microwave, light fixtures did not work and when asked to change to a new room, we were charged unknowingly an extra amount.
