Very nice accommodations overlooking the Thames River and All Saints Church. Loved the outdoor seating on the lawn. The food is excellent and the staff is genial. Definitely coming back and bringing family.

We had a great stay at the Compleat Angler for my wife's birthday. Lovely room overlooking the river and very well looked after by the staff. Beautiful grounds and fabulous river views from the hotel. We shall return.

The hotel was lovely and in a beautiful location, right on the riverbank. We ate in Sindhu, which I highly recommend. There are no USB ports in the bedrooms, which is worth knowing in advance. Breakfast was ok, but not great and certainly not the expected level for a 4 star hotel. The coffee was horrible and I would have expected better. However, overall we had a great time.

A rare night away from the kids, we splashed out on this hotel and had high hopes. Whilst the location was second to none, I’d say the hotel inside is average. We would in a deluxe double so has river views which was incredible. Bathroom was dirty and we asked for it to be cleaned but that never happened. Breakfast was very average. Buffet style but I’d say range of food available was average. Little available for vegans, other than cooked breakfast. No alternatives for yoghurt or butters. Lovely location but overpriced hotel for what it offers.

Hotellet er typisk bedre medelklasshotell, ganske stort og trenger på sikt en oppgradering. Stort rom og bad, men med ganske standard innredning. Sjekk størrelsen på sengen, standard rom har små dobbeltsenger. Flott beliggenhet ved Themsen med en stor terrasse. Restauranten har også utsikt mot Themsen, men vi spiste kun frokost, som var OK. Gratis parkering og bra utgangspunkt for å ta en tur langs Themsen eller inne i hyggelige Marlow med mange fine butikker. Hotellet kan oppleves som litt dyrt samtidig som det ligger kun 30 minutter med bil fra Heathrow.

Average, filthy bathroom taps and bath sealant were really really grotty. Location is sublime though. Very very basic all-round, corridors are narrow and a struggle with a suitcase, no offer from the reception staff to assist with luggage. Was probably lovely when it was first built.

This hotel used to offer amazing service and experience and this is no longer the case. Aside from looking tired the welcome and sharpness has left. The bar was chaotic and the check in non welcoming. Possible one of the most fantastic locations for a hotel .

A very convenient location a stones throw from Marlow High Street. However, in real need of refurbishment with very dated bathroom fittings and shabby paintwork in hallway areas. Called room service twice to obtain fresh milk so that we could drink the coffee in the room - no reply. For price charged for room one would expect more. Not the quality hotel I was expecting.

1* this hotel does accept cash which is fine however we already prepaid for the hotel via hotels.com. When they took a card as security they took payment for the room TWICE and the food and drinks TWICE. Totalling nearly £800 a week before christmas. It has taken nearly 2 months to resolve and so many members of staff spoken to!! So much so I started to know their names. The Customer service and promise to resolve is absolutely disgraceful. Avoid giving them your card details.

Celebrating 60th birthday. Great spacious room with balcony overlooking the weir. All staff were very courteous. Breakfast was wonderful in a delightful room overlooking the river and bridge in Marlow. Free parking and very quiet.

Filthy.

Lovely room right by the water. Huge comfortable bed. Good shower. Air conditioning, though we didn’t need it in January, still good to know it’s available. The bar is nice though not well stocked. Lack of anything to eat when arriving late was a little downer. The Staff are first-rate, attentive and efficient. Restaurant has a nice atmosphere right on the river. The porridge is to be avoided, just damp oats.

Lovely room with fabulous river view. We had a meal in the Riverside restaurant with 16 other guests and we were looked after impeccably. Great to stay at this well know hotel too.

Clean,comfortable beds & spacious rooms with a sublime view in a beautiful town …what more could you ask for?

The most luxury hotel for me in my life. Wonderful staff, facility, Very English location and Perfect full English breakfast

Had a comfortable nights sleep, the room was wonderful and I have no complaints whatsoever.

So disappointed with standards at Compleat Angler - admittedly 20 years since having stayed but Hotel is tired, room 11 deluxe had large cobwebs above bed and in corners of room. Bathroom equally tired - bath specifically horrid with either rust or dirt showing in the grid of safety grip section, TV was ancient and channels limited We ventured into bar - but didn’t stay - dark and again tired Outside the building definitely needs painting Positively- the bedding was clean and bed comfortable - view nice over Thames to Church

There is a relaxed, Edwardian feel to this riverside retreat. Don't expect the reception to be staffed when you check in. Hunt a little for staff amidst the wood panelling, and you will find tranquil repose.
