The hotel were it is situated is a perfect location for visiting chester etc. On arrival the staff at the reception desk were very polite ,welcoming and helpful. When going to the room the corridors were very squeaky to walk on. On entering the room again the floors in the room were also squeaky to walk on . Could hear the guests next door. The room was small not what i expected.The cleaniness of the room was appauling,liquid stains on the bathroom door,thick dust along the skirting boards in the bedroom . When we removed the bedding we were both taken back with disgust on how filthy the mattress protector,pillows and the actual mattress was so badly stained with either sweat,slobber or urine. I have to say i wont be staying here again for the price of the room i expected much better.

Got to check into the room half an hour early as we were off to a secondary location this was helpful from dropping off. The room had a dirty pair of pants under the radiator that were not ours and could you try it under the bed? Not our room has been thoroughly cleaned for awhile. This was Christmas and I stayed in August. Who was clean however there is a rule for boys over the edge of eight must get changed in the men’s family room (there’s only one to wait a little while please come ahead for the rest to get changed in the room) Ordered food in the bar and has told there was a 10% service charge, I stepped myself down, pick them up myself walk to the bath order to drinks myself walking drinks back to the table, and had to wait five years of food had arrived for cutlery. . . I don’t think a service should be an automatic edition, especially when the service is not top-notch. Parking is free on site and there is plenty. Room keys wiped themselves, no matter whether they are in your pocket, handbag, held in the air with two fingers and put absolutely nothing. Strongly advise I’m getting recorded before you head back to your room to save you the long walk.

Stayed for 2 nights wasn't really in the hotel much but room and breakfast was all good and staff were nice and pleasant, would stay again if I was in the area

Pool and gym areas were clean and well maintained, food is good apart from the hash browns

This is a basic but comfortable hotel, with very helpful and attentive front of house / reception staff. We found the staff really polite and welcoming. The hotel is very tired, and needs freshening up. The rooms are old, and some of the electrical sockets blew in our room when we plugged in a hair dryer. Frustratingly our handwash & body wash bottles in the bathroom were empty when we checked in, we didn’t mind too much as we thought when the room attendant came the following morning they would get filled… but sadly this was missed a second time. Not great attention to detail from housekeeping sadly. The swimming pool is a nice addition and we enjoyed a swim. If you’re looking for a comfortable short stay with no extras or luxuries, this hotel will be fine. We stayed during the summer and the room was very hot. I understand the hotel does not have air conditioning, but our room only had one very old fan - that was incredibly noisy! I understand the heat wouldn’t be an issue at other times of the year.

Beautiful hotel ,short taxi ride from Chester Centre.Great staff,lovely rooms.

It was okay, fair. Clean enough. Room was a bit dated and dog eared and ready for a refurb. Stayed in better hotels for much less money. Breakfast was good. Struggled a bit with the bar and waiting staff and their poor command of the English language.

The staff were all lovely and helpful. The room and the hotel itself was very clean, however a bit tired but there was workmen in during our stay so looks like they are getting some work done. We'd definitely be back

100% recommend this property, excellent value, clean and tidy, room great, spa facilities lovely, breakfast well provided and attentive staff especially the lady working on both mornings. Would highly recommend this hotel. Thank you to all the hard working staff during this hot weather!

No air conditioning in rooms (just in bar and lounge. ) rooms need updating . Rest all good

We took a room on a budget which was small as described. In bath shower needs a grab handle for older or less able patrons. It's dangerous without. Breakfast was a mediocre affair with many hot goods obviously sitting for long periods. Pet friendly should not mean dogs running g about and barking in the dining room.

The staff are amazing and the location is convenient. The room was clean enough but nothing special. The TV remote didn't work properly which drove us mad and there wasn't much coffee provided. We had drinks in the bar but they were very expensive and we ate in the Brasserie one evening. The food was okay but again, nothing special. Not sure we would stay here again.

Room not clean, dirty bed sheets and bathroom. We actually didn’t stay the night in the end as it was that bad.

The staff at reception, bar and restaurant were all very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Room was spacious but I did have a family room for myself and my son. Room was a bit dated and the cleanliness was just ok. Flooring in the bathroom room was lifting along the edges of panels so had to be careful the my 4 year old so didn’t go in with bare feet

Had bed and breakfast. Breakfast excellent. If I have to be hypercritical, it was a long walk to the bedroom

Nice hotel with a modern feel. Friendly staff. Main disappointment was the evening meal which was on the pricey side and took a long time to arrive
