Convenient near airport

The room was serviceable. The reception staff very ordinary and unprofessional. When we arrived after a long trip we were greeted by Thea with “Name”. We were not asked if we wanted a dinner booking or provided with information on check out times. When I raised these issues with the Operations Manager I was offered one drink voucher even though I was with my husband.

This hotel was close to the train station, which was helpful. However, the property is very worn and is in serious need of renovation and updating, especially in the bathrooms. Further, we were informed that we would be charged almost £4 per person to use the shuttle service to the airport. I have never had to pay for the airport shuttle at an “airport hotel” We specifically chose this property for its proximity to the airport and the airport’s train station, expecting to be able to take the complementary shuttle to the airport for our early morning flight. We won’t stay here again.

The hotel is clean and modern. However, I found menu items overpriced for the quality of the food. Also the dispenser in the room for hand lotion and hair shampoo and conditioner were empty. The front staff at reception were fast and knowledgeable which I appreciated.

The hotel is clean but needs a little updating. The staff were great and very helpful and we didn't have breakfast. The hotel is very close to T2 & T3 at Manchester airport and the train station although there is also a shuttlebus. I would definitely stay again.
