There’s no fridge in the room, but that was the only negative. Very convenient for walking to airpirt

From check in which took 40 mins as they couldn’t find our booking, which was paid for in January. To paying for a meal where chips were hard and stale, did tell the member of staff but was told he would tell the kitchen, he pick up the chips and never returned, not would you like me to get you some fresh chips, nothing, reported it to reception, not interested, reported again the next morning and luckily got a decent member of staff Nichola I think her name, she refunded me my money. Breakfast was cold, day two went to make a coffee there were still water left in the kettle, the kettle was very dirty, the shower was dirty and rusty, toilet stained, the worse thing was when we noticed old blood on the pillow, that was the final straw we checked out and booked into the Hilton which to my suprise was the same price a night as we paid for this awful hotel, experia have been amazing sorting this out for us. I have photos of the things I mention here. This hotel needs the health and safety going in to access this.

Used the hotel prior to a trip to Donnington Park motor racing circuit (handily placed). Parking was a little tight in the narrow bays. Hotel was clean and bright. Room was clean and well presented. Bed was neat and fresh. Bathroom was dated but shower was good. Staff were friendly and very attentive (reception desk and restaurant). Decided to have evening meal in restaurant but regretted it, instantly. We ordered ‘crispy squid’ and chicken burger. The squid was barely warm and was just a greasy coating with a horrible rubbery filler. Tasteless. I had to decant my first mouthful into the supplied napkin. We sent the food back immediately and were told we could claim a refund at reception (processed without a fuss). Our next course, the chicken burger was, merely, edible. The accompanying fries tasted as though they had been cooked with our starter squid in old oil and then left to sit for a while before being served. Rock hard with minimal potato content. We ate the chicken and left everything else on the plate. £62.85, thank you very much. I have to say, I was embarrassed for our waiter, George H, who had to bring this from the kitchen and serve it to us. He was a very polite and nice chap. All said and done, I would use the hotel again, but would definitely eat elsewhere.

I arrived late and went straight to my room. The girl on the reception was efficient but not very talkative. The room was clean and tidy with two king size beds. Very clean and fresh linen. Bathroom was a bit tired but reasonably clean except for the sink waste. No problem with aircraft or other outside noise. Tea/coffee facilities were good and tv was usual hotel fare ie no Sky.

Good stay before early morning flight ideas location 5mins walk to East Midlands airport.

Hotel room was clean and decent. It would have been nice to have had a small fridge in the room.

I booked this hotel because I was led to believe it held a 4 star rating. Initially the hotel appeared good, good location, good check in, good parking, helpful and attentive staff etc however the room was not. The beds were clean and ok (plenty of available pillows but the room was dated and felt grubby. The windows were the old secondary glazing which had condensation on the inside (unfortunately not the best for an asthma sufferer). The bathroom was very poor, an old shower curtain, the grouting was black in places, the bath was stained, as for the toilet it had black water marks as though it hadn’t been cleaned. Although I used it I did not feel clean. Unfortunately I will not be using this hotel again.

Unable to book parking. Can only be done as part of a stay & fly package directly with the hotel.

Food average, room not particularly clean, tv options/access needlessly locked down , beds good but wouldn’t be in a rush back.

Convenient location but probably the worst hotel I have stayed in. The rooms were shocking quality and dirty. The sheets, carpet, everything. The bathrooms were absolutely filthy. In dire need of a refurbishment.

Friendly staff but property standard not great

Lovely hotel with plenty of different seating areas. Small pool with jacuzzi, steam room, sauna and gym. Lovely comfy beds, clean bedroom. Some signs of wear (chipped paint for example) but didn't affect our stay. Good buffet breakfast selection and plenty of tables in dining area. £10 for one night of parking. Would stay here again

My wife and I always like to come to this hotel because of the good food and friendly staff any close to the airport

Brilliant hotel, always stay here the night before my holiday.

Room was starting to look tired. Management lack off. Fire Alarm on at 2;30 still going off until around 3/3:15pm. From clearly an error on staff in a store room. Iam still waiting for a response from hotel. Wishing a refund on all 3 rooms.
