Romantic and beautiful

First time staying here and I am not a fan. First off, the staff is super friendly and helpful, except for one instance. I have no problems with the people. The resort itself does not support its own amenities. They have a pool that stays open until midnight but the bars close by 10pm, other bars on the property close earlier. They have great seating with firepits, except getting a firepit lit is almost impossible. We asked an employee and he made it clear that maintenance had to light the pit and it would be a long time. Why? Whats the point? Room service food is very generic. Arcade claw machines are super stingy, like that’s what they make their money on. Self parking was full, so I had to use Valet and get upcharged. They definitely oversold day passes for the pool on Saturday. Too many people, not enough staff. People in our area were upset and cancelling orders after no one showed up for an hour. No umbrellas or shade options by the kids pool, unless you paid for a private cabana. I turned in my keycards to the front desk and instead of accepting it, they pointed to a return bucket on the next desk. I get it, its right there, but come on. Just take the key and wish me a nice day. I obviously have suitcases and bags all over me. Just a bunch if little things that add up to fake luxury. This place can do so much better. And to top it off, they used the wrong name in the email they sent me to review this place. Perfect. Exactly what I would expect after this weekend.

Awesome stay friendly staff.

We splurged and stayed in the Villas. It was awesome. It comes with a golf cart to cruise around the resort. We had a patio and a pool and hot tub that was never crowded. The staff will do anything to help you. Hope we come back soon!

This is an absolutely beautiful resort. I definitely will stay here again when I am in San Antonio.

It was quaint, quiet and relaxing! A perfect weekend getaway for our family! Pool is beautiful, service is outstanding, the views are perfect!

Amazing stay. I have loved this resort since i was a kid and i couldnt think of a better way to celebrate my 30th birthday. Bokking with expedia i was eligible for a free floor upgrade to the top floor and a $35 room credit to use towards anyone of the amenities around the resort. Will be back every year for my birthday

Only there for one evening as we were passing through, but loved our stay. Everyone was super friendly and Trinity at the front desk was awesome with check-in and even gave us a choice of what and where we wanted our room to be. Trinity set the tone for the rest of the stay. Would definitely recommend to others and will stay again next time in San Antonio.

I loved this resort I was so sad to leave the staff in Henrietta’s made us feel so welcome - I would give 5 stars but we did have an issue around the pool - one day the adult pool was closed due to a ticketed party - if we had noticed we would have changed our plans and gone out for the day - the other day we had an issue where staff advised we had to take the umbrella down due to the wind - which was fine however the sun was so strong - my husband has a heart condition so needs to be in shade - we were told for shade we needed a cabana - so we ended up paying for a cabana - to find we were the only ones that was told to take our umbrella down - so we were the only ones out of pocket Such a shame as it’s a lovely resort

Ok visit just too warm inside the bars, common areas and rooms.

Loved the property and pool The Signature Restaurant was delicious The shuttle driver was the highlight. He made the trips around the property and to Fiesta Texas so much fun.

The property is okay but them not responding to my duplicate charges dispute is unacceptable. It's like a scam, they charge you and just hope you won't pursue the duplicate charges. I will never stay here again.

The parking situation at La Cantera resort is HORRIBLE! Self-parking is overcrowded, meaning you drive around for 30 minutes waiting for someone to leave (and it appeared to be employees) and then you will walk uphill for a while before you ever reach the resort. If you valet, you will pay a premium (but for what), my 1st night there the "system" was down and the next day they had to "find" my car. At checkout I waited 23 minutes for them to get my car and then I had to walk to my car, they couldn't even pull it up. Needless to say La Cantera did not offer a reduction-disappointing.
