Overall, a great place. Our mattress was on the older side - metal on tge sides was pinching my legs - had to navigate around those protrusions.

This hotel lives up to it's good reviews. Friendly staff, clean room. We had an accessible room as I have trouble with my hip and need handicap bars. It had a built in chaise/couch which was nice. Washer and dryer at hotel, only one set, but reasonable...worked well. Breakfast was GREAT! The pastries were under a warming light....3 brands of yogurt to choose from....4 warmers with scrambled eggs and omelettes in one, sausage patties in another, fried potatoes in another and biscuits/gravy in a 4th. All had self closing lids, so you didn't have to figure out where to set the cover and glass inserts so you could see what was inside...also crocks next to each to hold the serving utensils, so the handles didn't end up in the food. We are both gluten sensitive, so appreciate the choices we had. The rest was typical hotel food. The breakfast attendant was friendly and efficient. Just a really great experience!

I go to Raton about 3 times a year. I always stay at Holiday Inn. My granddaughter loves the indoor pool. The breakfast is good. The beds are comfy.

Staff was amazing on two different stays. Check in and out were extremely simple and quick. Rooms were clean and comfortable.

The fire alarm went off overnight at 12:30 AM, and lasted for about 5 minutes. Then again briefly at 12:45 AM.

We were in a room on the ground floor and unfortunately there was a lot of action above us. But we were there for a quick overnight and on the road early so our bad, be did not complain. Otherwise, our room was fine.

Quick overnight while traveling from Texas to Colorado. Comfortable room and quiet. Check in was easy and breakfast was good in the morning. In a safe part of Raton, NM near VA hospital, as well as other gov't law enforcement agencies

Very old. Room was clean but shower was not. The staff was not friendly.

Pros: Staff at front desk was super nice. Cons: The hotel rooms were not cleaned well. I was able to get a container of disinfectants and wipe around the toilet and tub. They were black when I finished cleaning. The bed was clean and comfortable and the rest of the room was ok. Just dirt and hairs around the baseboards especially in the bathroom. Shower could use new shower curtain too. The BF was not great either. Just generic egg omelets that seemed like they were prepackaged. Overall the place was right off 70 and ultimately what you would get for $80-$90/night, but because it was a holiday weekend we paid $165 … so that was a little frustrating. Wish we could have just driven the rest of the way home.

Booked for the pool and the water was ice cold. Heater had been off for a long time. The entire place was run down. Not what I expected from a Holiday Inn

Stayed here about 4 years ago while on a road trip. It was nice, quiet, and clean. Chose to stay here again just this past weekend because of the same reasons.

There are few options in Raton and this filled a need for an overnight stay. It's not going to impress with amenities, but our stay was acceptable.

We found clipped fingernails in our room. There was also hair clippings in the bathroom. The sheets had stains on them. The breakfast selections were very good.

The beds were so very comfortable, as were the pillows! They left free sandwiches, potato salad and dessert for guests that were free as well as items to purchase to use in the microwave in your room. Very much appreciated after a long day of travel. The buffet breakfast was amazing ! Would definitely stay here again!

Great hotel right off the freeway making an easy stop.
