We loved our mini-moon at The Spread Eagle. The staff were kind enough to upgrade our room, offer us some fizz on the house and gave us cutlery and plates so we could enjoy a bit more wedding cake. I'm sure you don't have to be freshly married to enjoy your time at the hotel, it is a lovely space, the staff were brilliant and the room was comfortable and clean. The pool area and spa treatments were incredible as well. The room was a bit warm in the heatwave - I guess due to it being an older building - but we still slept well.

We had a one night dinner, bed and breakfast stay at this pretty old coaching inn in the centre of Midhurst. The room was comfortable and clean, the pool and spa were excellent and the staff were helpful. While the quality of the food in the restaurant was good, unfortunately the service at both dinner and breakfast was poor, and we had to chase our desserts at the evening meal and had a long wait for our cooked breakfasts the following morning. However, this didn't spoil what was a relaxing stay at a competitive price.

We went for a weekend with our cavapoo. TBH had little treat box, dog towel and little sleeping mat. We brought many of our own things but nice to make him feel welcomed. We had a great stay. The staff were incredibly helpful..walking routes, getting us a table for dinner. We had lovely drinks every evening at the bar with a very large fire and our dog with us. The food was very good..breakfast and dinner. We enjoyed eating at other establishments in Midhurst too. We didn’t use the Spa but it looked nice. Would definitely come back.

Room smelt disgusting like open vent soil pipe not nice sickly, room 14 few other people said the same, we reported it to reception she said she woyld go up and smell. Never heard a thing after that.

Room should have a fridge and milk.We arrived after a 5 hour journey and were told our room was not ready.2 hours later we asked about room and it was ready but the cleaner had not informed reception of this. When we booked nobody asked what kind of room we wanted and we ended up with a room at the top of a spiral staircase. I have mobility problems and found it difficult to climb the stairs.

A beautiful old hotel with spacious rooms, cozy bar and good breakfast. Our room was upgraded and we received a complimentary glass of bubbles as we were staying for my husband’s birthday which was a real treat! All The staff were kind and helpful. We enjoyed the spa facilities but note that it does get quite busy in the afternoon and subsequently there were no more chairs left by the pool but the following morning it was quiet and calm. We will definitely be back 😊

The ambience and the look of the place was impressive. Service was excellent and staff were exceptional.

Everything was easy and nothing too much trouble we felt so at home and comforatble with its ancient historic charm

Really beautiful property and grounds. Dog friendly which was a HUGE plus, they also left out bowls, a dog bed and a chew treat - much appreciated! The room was cosy and bed was very comfortable. Dinner in the bar was good, the only slightly strange thing is there is no music played anywhere in the restaurant or bar meaning that the ambience is really strange! Not necessarily a judgement but it was very noticeable how uncomfortably quiet it was. The spa is lovely and gym is small but adequate!

Great hotel, clean, comfortable, great food selection cooked beautifully and the staff are polite and friendly. I could not ask for more.
