One of the few hotels within the Carcassonne castle. So one can't get access to it by car. The guest has to park his or her car at the Welcome Centre on the outskirts of the castle, and the hotel provides transportation between the Welcome Centre and the hotel. The service was very impressive, but this information should be given before the guest finalizes his or her reservation. After receiving the message that I could not go further than the Welcome Centre, I made an enquiry to the hotel about the means of getting to the hotel with a big luggage. I didn't get any reply, but in the end there was no problem. My room was pretty spacious, but it was a ground floor room with the window directly facing a street. I had to put the curtain on all the time, and the room had to remain dark. The staff were kind and attentive.

Parking très pratique et facilite l’accès à l’hôtel. L’hôtel est idéalement placé dans la cite médiévale et offre tout le confort d’un 4*. Le petit déjeuner est un peu cher mais il y a une grande diversité de produits.

Great place to stay

Parking was easy and gave a lovely short walk to the hotel inside the castle gates. The lot felt very secure. Our room was clean, beds were very comfy, and breakfast was delicious (best baguette and lots of variety).

We loved the medieval elements of the lobby and the views out of our room overlooking the garden. The staff was wonderful - kudos to Maxim our porter and the friendly young lady at the desk - both were so helpful and welcoming. Our stay was lovely and relaxing - we especially liked walking the quiet streets at night.

One of very few places to stay in the walled town. For those walking from the railway station, it's the first place you get to when entering through the city walls.

We loved our stay at the Donjon! The location is very convenient to all of the sites. The staff were also very welcoming and helpful. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Très belle expérience dans cette hôtel que j'avais réservé pour la Saint Valentin. Le personnel est très accueillants et la déco médiévale très sympa. La chambre étaient très propre et confortable. Le petit déj offre un large choix de produits. Tout était parfait je recommande vivement.

Las camas bastante mal, las sábanas con manchas de hace tiempo, la habitación un poco sucia, el papel higiénico estaba húmedo, tuvimos que reemplazarlo por otro, por otra parte el personal bien y desayuno bien

Personnel toujours aussi agréable, l'hôtel est très bien, la chambre aurait besoin d'un petit rafraîchissement et ce serait bien si la personne qui s'occupe du petit déjeuner soit dans la salle du petit déjeuner...

C’était vraiment très bien ! La chambre l’accueil ! Ensemble très convivial ! Seul bémol mais en même tant nous sommes dans une cité médiéval donc c’est normal mais les parking
