El personal es muy amable y procura ayudarte. La zona en que se encuentra es buena considerando accesibilidad aunque por ser el centro de la ciudad de repente huele medio mal la regadera (por el drenaje que es viejo en la zona). El hotel es bonito, estilo antiguo pero funcional y en general muy limpio. Pero ... si tienes problemas para dormir por cuestiones de ruido olvidalo, la distribución del hotel hace que cualquier ruido en la noche/madrugada se oiga bastante, hay mucho eco yo creo. Me hospedé en el segundo piso y en la mañana oia como acomodaban las tasas del cafe abajo en el restaurante como si estubieran a unos cuantos pasos, lo mismo se oian las pláticas en la recepción. Igualmente tuvieron fiesta en la terraza, 6to piso y los gritos y musica se oian bastante dentro de la habitación. Les hace falta cambiar ventanas o puertas no se, o colocar algo para amortiguar mas el ruido.

Clean room if your expecting a quiet space than it’s not the place for your, the room balconies look into the building and you can hear everything that’s going on inside the building into your room

Excelente servicio en general, limpieza, personal amable y atento, tal vez el único pero fue la limpieza de la alberca. Agua turbia, sí necesitan priorizar ese aspecto.

I’ve stayed at Hotel Santiago de Compostela before, and this visit just reinforced why I chose to come back. This time I was only there for two days, but the experience stood out in a different way. There were some safety concerns in the area during my stay, and the staff went above and beyond to make sure I felt secure. They were attentive, communicative, and genuinely cared about my well-being, which meant a lot—especially as a traveler navigating an unfamiliar situation. What I’ve always appreciated about this hotel is its location in historic downtown Guadalajara. It’s beautiful, walkable, and full of culture, and the hotel itself reflects that charm. The staff has consistently been warm and helpful, and this visit showed me they’re not just hospitable—they’re also protective and thoughtful when it really matters. Even though it was a short stay, it left a strong impression. I felt taken care of, respected, and safe. That kind of experience is something I won’t forget, and it’s exactly why I would continue to return.
