The Lakeside Inn is so historic built in 1883 and one of the historic hotels in the US. Quaint with a lot of charm. Right on the Lake with gorgeous views and walking distance of the town with lovely shops and eateries. Claire’s Creperie was fabulous in the town for breakfast. We had a double bed suite but the room configuration was odd with the sofa bed in a separate room only accessible via the bathroom, meaning the bathroom had two doors to it. If you are looking for a relaxing place outside of the madness of Orlando would recommend for a couple of nights.

Beautiful property and love walking to stores and restaurants.

Although traveling with a very small ADA service animal we were charged a pet fee/deposit and assigned a room in seprate cottage for guests with pets. Room and sunst cottage were a bit musty and "worn".

The property was lovely. The grounds were beautiful to walk and the pool had a Great Lake view. The Inn is class old Florida and felt like stepping back in time. Unfortunately the room was very very old and dated. Felt cheap and rundown. The ice machine was broken and the bed was very uncomfortable. The property could use a good update and cleaning. Parking was very limited to a small area that wasn’t covered or shaded in most areas. Staff was lovely and the atmosphere was great. Walkable to the whole town. Very convenient.

Room was not ready when we arrived. Then, given wrong room. Had booked suite. Finally got a suite. Hotel has no elevator. No luggage carts. No assistance with bags. Key to room did not work. Repeatedly.

The property is gorgeous. Groomed lawns, lots of flower beds, mature oaks. A beautiful pool and a large lake provide activities and beauty. The rooms and buildings are old but extremely well maintained and comfortable .i cant wait to return.

Quaint

Very disappointed with the quality of service and top of that found roaches in the room. Not a quality place ! Once told to the receptionist about the pest in the room her answer was “ you are in Florida”. And we told her we live in Florida and we don’t have roaches crawling in our property Never again to this place

Close to shops and restaurants, walking

We loved our stay! The pool by the lake was relaxing!

If your expecting a normal hotel room then this is not it. Our room was run down and was in need of a serious upgrade!! I would have giving this hotel a 1 star but the bed was actually comfortable. Other than that the room was a dump! Very disappointed. We went with 13 other friends and they all felt the same. The pool was filthy with bugs and grass. Ice machines were either broke or totally out.

Fantastic hotel, great staff A ++++ all around. Will definitely be back.

Beautiful, well cared for property, with very attentive staff. Close to everything in walking distance.

The location is perfect, right on the lake and by down town center, shops and great eating places. Pool overlooking the lake 👍. Very peaceful. Only negative, windows need cleaning so you can enjoy the view.

The hotel dates back to 1883 and there is only so much that can be upgraded. The floor above us squeak with every step of our neighbor. The ice maker was out of order and looking at the sign it had been. There are no refrigerators in the room. There were three sets of landings/stairs to reach the room. I respect the history and if you're into nostalgia this may be the place for you. BTW, breakfast was very good as well as the service in the bar.

Overall good experience

It's nice for what it is. Great history, breathtaking photo opportunities and just steps away from downtown dining. Cons : Very small room, no microwave or coffee maker (yes there is a restaurant on sight, but not having a mini fridge for my medication was a huge negative) The ice maker not working and having to walk to the office for ice (which is across the street in another building ) is extremely inconvenient. Pros: plenty of parking, location have food you can walk to, lots of history, not bad for the price

I liked the property, very nice by the lake and pool. I know its an older establishment, but i wish they had a mini fridge. Ice machine was broken. And for the price of staying, there was no complementary breakfast and coffee could've had been better tasting.
