Strange menu arrangement in the restaurant

Exceptional service from the friendly staff across every aspect of our stay. The property was peaceful and spacious. Providing an excellent place to slow down and rest.

Nice all round but. It as cook as the smaller boutique places

The restaurant view was quite beautiful and we thoroughly enjoyed the food and pleasurable staff. A unique experience we’d recommend to anyone interested in enjoying a quiet romantic weekend. Would definitely return.

Staff is excellent and rooms are very comfortable and inviting.

We had an amazing two nights there. The hotel staff were amazing! The food was top notch. You will not regret staying here. Tons of old world charm and hospitality.

We had a duplex room, plenty of space and had everything we needed. Breakfast overlooking the vines was excellent.

Good quiet place to rest and relax. Only minus are the beds, not comfortable at all! They could do with a mattress topper! Other than that, I give a 5 star for everything else.

Eine beeindruckende Unterkunft in einem historischen Landgut. Sehr gepflegte, schöne Außenanlagen. Das Sklavenhaus, in dem unsere Maisonette Unterkunft war, ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Dafür war sie auf zwei Ebenen sehr geräumig. Insgesamt aber etwas zu teuer. Das Badezimmer hat schon viele Jahre hinter sich und einige Macken. Die Lichtschalter und Steckdosen waren alle etwas versteckt. Die Mitarbeiter waren sehr freundlich, die Massagen suchen ihresgleichen genauso wie das Restaurant mit seinem fantastischen Ausblick und ausgezeichneten Speisen. Alles in allem aber ein Erlebnis auf unserem Südafrika-Trip, das wir nicht missen möchten.

We stayed in a duplex room, with a comfy lounge and toilet downstairs, and a bedroom and bathroom upstairs. Lovely touches including coffee machine and tea making facilities, lovely biscuits, water daily and turn down service. Some of the furniture could do with upgrading (wardrobes) and bathroom could do with updating. Breakfast was lovely but service slow. However overall lovely stay and would return.

Seventh visit and always a great experience. Staff were excellent in re-rooming us when the initial room wasn’t getting adequate light. Some modernization still required with some low level work being done on installing solar panels, so will be great to see the finished article once complete. Will certainly be back once again.

Beautiful room and surrounding gardens. Needs some investment and training in high end customer service. This is a lovely hotel , just has lost some of its sparkle.

Apart from the friendly staff, It didn't meet the expectations.

The location is spectacular and the manor house restaurant area and gardens are beautiful. The staff are very friendly but the service at breakfast was slow and unpredictable. The food was good, but you would wait for someone to just take your drinks order. The food also takes quite some time so make sure you are taking a leisurely breakfast.
