Our stay started off very disappointing. When we arrived in the room, there was a very strong chemical odor that honestly smelled toxic. On top of that, the mirror in the room was filthy and covered in fingerprints, which made it feel like the room had not been properly cleaned before our arrival. The view from the window was also unpleasant, as it looked directly over the garbage and dumpsters.
I brought the issue to the staff’s attention and left the room for a while hoping it would be addressed. Unfortunately, when i returned, the odor was still just as strong and nothing had been cleaned. I reported it again, but no one came to check the room and it did not seem like the concern was being taken seriously. After dealing with the smell for a while longer, you eventually had to go down to the front desk in person to get someone’s attention. Once staff finally came and smelled the room themselves, they agreed something was wrong and moved us to a different room.
While the issue was eventually resolved with a room change, the initial cleanliness of the room and the lack of urgency in addressing the problem made the experience frustrating.
