Very disappointing stay and extremely misleading listing.
We booked this hotel because the listing advertised a deep bathtub, rainforest shower, air conditioning, and soundproofed rooms. On arrival, the receptionist confirmed that there are no bathtubs anywhere in the hotel, which means the listing was inaccurate.
The biggest issue was the claim that the rooms are soundproof. At around 2:30am we were woken by very loud guests in the corridor and the room next door. We could hear everything through the walls — doors slamming, conversations, bathroom use (including peeing and flushing), and even intimate activity. It was impossible to sleep.
At around 4:30am I went to reception and found the night receptionist lying on a sofa in the dark. I explained the situation and asked for it to be passed on to the morning staff so we could discuss a refund. This message was never passed on, so I had to repeat everything again in the morning.
We were refunded for the remaining nights of the stay, but they refused to refund the first night, even though the room did not match what was advertised and we barely slept. My complaint about this has also not received a response.
To make matters worse, when I finally managed about two hours of sleep between 6–8am, I woke up covered in bites from something in the room.
Overall: misleading listing, very poor sound insulation, and disappointing handling of the issue afterward.
