Thankful for the aircon in the bedroom which was a real plus in the hot spell. Disappointed no outside areas to sit for drinks. Overall good stop of hotel for our road trip. Stayed 2 nights.

Excellent breakfast with plenty of choice. Room was comfortable, clean and quiet despite some Friday and Saturday night revellers. Pillows are too thick and bouncy due to synthetic filling and if you require things like a fridge and bathrobes you probably need to upgrade to a more superior room grade but altogether, good value and good location.

Really good clean hotel right in the centre of town.

The hotel itself is very nice and clean. The staff are friendly and welcoming and the breakfast has a nice selection of buffet and menu choice. The main issue was the noise. I was initially on the ground floor and could hear people slamming doors, running up stairs and banging above my head. Music was live in the bar and that was very loud so I asked to move rooms. When I moved upstairs to the other part of the hotel, it was much better. I could still hear some music and banging but it was bearable. On my first morning, I was woken by the hoover from the cleaners. The other issue was the spa was not in a good condition. There is a smell of damp that lingers and the changing rooms need a massive renovation.

I go every year to Solihull and I have tried Voco several times. Every time there is something wrong or it is the smell of curry in the corridors or it is the check in or out. This time, the checkout time was at 11 and we came back from breakfast 10:50, to collect our bags and check out but our key didn’t opened the door. There were other people at the front desk with the same problem. The line to reactive our keys was long and we had to wait. The front desk woman was not nice. At the restaurant, the hostess was also rude . It looks like the hotel is understaffed and the staff is not well trained. I am not sure I will try this hotel again.

Pool would do with an update but otherwise a good, quiet stay.

Not being too family with Birmingham I booked this hotel, was visiting the NEC but I underestimated the distance between the the hotel and the NEC, regardless of that though I can say that the hotel and the area in which it is situated are both lovely, conveniently near local high street shops, the hotel may not be much to look at from the outside but don’t let this put you off, the interior is lovely and well maintained, the reception staff and friendly and helpful, there is free chilled water in the reception also which goes through to the bar and restaurant, for those who like to keep a regular schedule of exercise there is a very decent gym with very modern treadmills and cross trainers along with a weight area, the rooms a very spacious and also very well presented, our stay was great and I would stay there again.

The shower head was usable but broken and the curtain hooks were broken so wouldn't block daylight properly. Otherwise our stay was comfortable.

Staff was very helpful and friendly, breakfast was great!.. I’ll be using again without a thought when I next visit this area

My family and I had a fantastic one-night stay while attending the UK Games Expo at the NEC Birmingham. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, going out of their way to make sure everything was perfect. The quality of service throughout my stay was excellent, and the food was really tasty, and delicious. The atmosphere in the hotel was relaxed and inviting, making it a great place to unwind after a busy day at the expo. This is our second stay and would highly recommend it to others visiting the area.

This was such a great family hotel. Family room was spacious and lovely set up. The kids loved the swimming pool (which offered towels which helped with luggage and washing when we got home!). Breakfast had a great selection and of good quality too. Will definitely be staying here again.

Rooms and amenities are fine. Very disappointed with the a number of beers gone off /the lines not been cleaned. Viability of reception was poor.

The room was nice air conditioning was great as a very hot weekend, lots of choice at breakfast staff were all friendly. The only area that was needing attention was the garden area outside of the bar overgrown and unkept patio area was littered with rubbish and cigarette butts. Parking charges were additional extra $20 for 2 nights, I guess it stops outside people parking but should be included for guests as you register your car at check in.

The pool, sauna, steam room etc are magnificent. The room was a tranquil oasis. Thanks ☺️

The staff were attentive and helpful, even helping us with our luggage when we checked in past midnight. Thank you! However, the property is need of some TLC and maintenance. Room sizing varies greatly even in the same category of room (a group of us stayed with 3 separate bookings so we know), the phones never worked even to speak to reception (even when we called from our mobiles no one ever answered over 2 days) and the hotel is like a warren with rooms on the same floor spread out across various corridors and up and down stairs making it difficult to navigate and move luggage around. Parking on site was helpful though £10 a night feels an excessive fee. When checking in an unsavoury duo walked into the hotel (after midnight) armed with alcohol and a hostile attitude - they were not staying at the hotel. Staff dealt with it well but I can’t help wondering why anyone can just walk into the hotel at anytime.

Great hotel, very central clean rooms comfortable bit slow on checking but apart from that, it’s great we’ve stayed here twice so far and hopefully we’ll be staying some more very quiet hotel
