Nice room of adequate size and well appointed. The sleep quality was excellent. The room WIFI was very slow and the breakfast room was so icy cold that I ate my b'fast in the lobby. The air con was turned up much too high despite the heatwave having moderated significantly the day before. This waste of energy conflicts with modern concern over the environment.

The room was nice but NO AIR CONDITIONING which was not good in this weather. only a small fan in the room. The staff where all nice and friendly. The food was great in the restaurant and breakfast was also very nice. I'd recommend the salmon. The hotel Bar is expensive London Prices £8.50 for a pint of Guinness, £7.50 for a pint of Carling or Madri and £7.00 for a pint of Cider. Why London prices in Bridgend? No air con in room and bar prices was lets the hotel down.

Fantastic staff! Very helpful. Hotels has lots of amenities. Gym looked fine. Pool and spa getting refurbished. Lots of conference and party rooms. Food fine from the bar

My room was nice and clean very comfortable recently refurbished but the doors in the hallway needs soft closes putting on them instead of banging shut staff were really good. Food was nice. Good Wi-Fi good phone reception plenty of parking.

Stayed a few times over the years. They have done it up brilliantly! My only gripe was the breakfast experience. I came at the time I had given but felt I was an inconvenience as the staff told me I only had so long, not to sit a certain tables. I was the only customer, they were packing away and were occupied with their next 'event'. Food for thought? Best wishes.

Clean well maintained rooms, friendly helpful staff always. Have stayed here many times always consistently good and nice restaurant with great food choices.

We stayed in room 12 and yes the room was amazing and clean and comfortable. The only thing is don’t think you will be getting any sleep as there was a constant noise in the room and the only way to describe it is when you hear a helicopter outside. Told the staff member and he said it’s the generator between the walls and it would turn off in 30/40mins. Long story short it didn’t turn off and after getting to the point of exhaustion we finally fell asleep. Spoke to the staff member in the morning and he didn’t really care. Sent an email to the manager and was given a reply that next door neighbours extractor fan was left on. I’m not stupid and could tell it’s more than that and also it means someone there is lying which isn’t the best service. Stayed here before and it was amazing so I suggest if they offer you room 12 refuse.

Hotel pool and spa under refurbishment, however hotel is showing signs of its age looking tired. Based in a non refurbished part of hotel room smelt fausty windows single paned with broken handles meant draft and rattling windows during a windy night was experienced. Large bathroom window wasn’t frosted hence could look out on to a main public road and more importantly people could look in. The radiator was stone cold for the 2 day stay in March, and shower was a mixer tap which struggles to regulate water, being one of the last room water pressure fluctuated when other room using water and ended up with cold showers. Disappointing for the price paid for 2 night stay. Food was good

Good clean room

Easy check in service available by email, staff are very friendly. I had a good room that looks fresh and upto date and the bed was really comfortable, i normally find beds a problem but this was a good one. I have stayed here before when on business and would highly recommend.

Overall ok. But could never get room service , had to go to the bar downstairs every time which defeats the object. Wrong orders delivered to room and items also ordered but not delivered.

Hotel had recently had an uplift all area's felt clean and modern. Good clean, spacious room, comfortable bed. Unfortunately swimming pool was out of order which was a disappointment, as,it was something we had looked forward to enjoying. Staff helpful and pleasant, good parking.

Spacious room and very friendly staff. Good Wi—Fi connectivity (might seem like a strange thing to mention but several hotels fail at this). Breakfast in the restaurant was served quickly, was generous and very good. One downside to mention is the lack of air conditioning. Seems like many UK hotels are still allergic to them, for some reason. Seems like in this day and age having an AC should be the bare minimum. Fortunately the temperature was not too high. Otherwise I would have to use a small fan provided.

The staff were lovely. Breakfast was a bit slow and it was difficult to see who was directing operations. Sound-proofing was not great - a room near us (perhaps above) was chatting from 4 am on our first night and playing dance music loudly for much of our second night. As there was no air conditioning we had opened the windows to try to cool down but had to close them in an effort to stop the noise but it didn’t do much. Unfortunately we also had a fire alarm go off while we were still in bed and had been given a code for the safe which locked it and it took 24 hours to regain access to our valuables. Overall there was just something ‘off’ about the service (the problem with the safe not being passed on to the next shift; being referred to by our room number not our name; being suggested that we open the bottle of champagne ourselves etc) and we thought that staff training might have been a bit lacking. The potential was there, it just needed refinement.

Double charged for the stay. Loud event on that evening and the carpark is quite loud when the windows are open. Breakfast was below the expected standard for such a busy hotel.

Breakfast is chaotic every morning. 1st morning 30 minute wait after ordering. 2nd morning my order was forgotten to the point I had to leave before being served, waiter came back 20 minutes later to advise the order was forgotten and I can reorder again.
