Room was very outdated , the remote control had tape in the back to hold the batteries , the shower was falling apart and the white woman hostess that works in the weekend evenings was very rude and had a very bad attitude I will never stay here again

Great view from top floor but property and rooms needed to be better cleaned and maintained. Excellent walking location to everything.

The location of this hotel was excellent! Right in the middle of downtown, very walkable. The rooms were clean and the staff were friendly. This big issue was the condition of the facility. Every common area was dirty, much of it was rusty and crumbling. A little cleanup and update would make this a great place to stay...

I loved the location!

Property appears to be in poor overall condition. No air conditioning so our room was hot until about 3am. Did have all the basics....towels, soap, shampoo, etc. Good location. Id probably stay again but normally all im looking for is a place to lay my head and get a shower.

The room was standard, we got in late and left early so it met our needs for a place to sleep. We originally came up for a concert in South Shore and by the time I booked the hotel South Shore was either sold out or way too pricey. I will say the drive from South Shore back here at midnight was SKETCHY so if you plan the same thing try to avoid it. Tahoe City itself was so cute, lake access, shops, food, all great. The staff though not super friendly did allow us to check in a little early and were fully accomodating. Overall this was a good experience and would stay here again if i was staying on the North Shore.

Located near lots of restaurants, bars, shops, and a beach. Great place to stay if you want to be within walking distance to lots of places.

Best kept secret place to stay (hiding in plain view in the heart of Tahoe City). I will definitely stay here again. They could update the mattress in the room I was staying in because the edges of it were sinking in when I sat on it, but the sleeping part of the best was fine and I slept well.

The location was great. My complaint would be the bed. They were very uncomfortable. You could feel the mattress coils. I know the location is prime but I wouldn’t stay here again.

The property is in very bad condition!!! The stairs are crumbling apart and you can see the rebar. They have a sign saying not to use the stairs due to be under construction, but they are not remodeling anything… very unsafe place to stay! They tell you to use the elevator, but wow…very bad condition. There are bad stains on the carpet and wall paper peeling. The curtains are so warn, you can see light through the main curtain. The shower door cannot close tightly while you shower. The only good thing about this place is you can see the fireworks on 4th of July and not have to deal with traffic.

Pepper Tree Inn has good views of Lake Tahoe.

The location was nice and the view of the lake was great. The hotel condition was not good and needs renovations done.

Property looks very shabby and room are extremely small (master bedroom bathroom) Bathroom is also extremely small Front desk person is kind of rude They told ya there will be fan in the room but there is no ac and no fan Would get much better property with given price for room Would not recommend at all ❌❌❌

Good location but very old motel, and smelly old green carpet. Nice lake view from window facing outside walk balcony.
