A fine hotel for a quick stop off with all the amenities you need. Down-rated as stayed during a heatwave and the room had no form of temperature control and a tiny window so was extremely hot. Decor is very corporate and a bit dated as well.

Good value and lovely hotel. Room was very comfortable and more than big enough (classic double). Breakfast was excellent and good value. Will definitely come back when next in Cambridge.

Good hotel, clean, friendly staff, tasty breakfast.

Nice hotel on arrival but not in the best location overall. Really laboured check in, nice comfortable room but could hear guests in adjoining rooms talking. Bar and restaurant staff in the evening and at breakfast were really poor sorry to say! Wouldn’t return I’m afraid

Checking in was disappointing . Long queue and staff were in no hurry!

Great location for my trip, as I was travelling across A14 and this is handily placed as well as being a superb venue with terrific facilities.

Das Hotel war an sich in Ordnung. Leider war das Zimmer sehr warm. Klimaanlage gab es nicht und das Fenster hätte man Max 10cm öffnen können, was wir aber wegen den ganzen Insekten davor auch nur kurz gemacht haben. Für die 25£/Nacht bekam der Hund beim Check in ein extra Türschild (Do Not disturb/attention mit einer Pfote) und mehrmals den Hinweis den Hund nie, nie alleine im Zimmer zu lassen. Außerdem gab es auf dem ganzen Gelände und im Hotel keinen Mülleimer außer im Zimmer.

Staff in spa were very efficient and did an excellent job

The bar had no stock for the two nights I stayed here. Alcohol free beer, or wine. Everything else had run out! Breakfast is very poor- with a blocked hot water urn to pour a cup of tea from, and fried eggs that have set solid.

It was ok. My message to have a room near lift was not taken up. Room right at end of corridor ! Service in restaurant was terrible! Apparently had a problem with illness with a chef in the kitchen! But we were still finishing our meal at 10.00pm. I had an operation at Papworth early the next morning so not ideal! There was a mixup with the bill from the restaurant when we checked out- charging us double we owed! It was sorted out but took a bit of time we didn’t have.

Facilities, staff location.

The hotel was in a good location just 15 minutes from the centre of Cambridge. Check in was efficient and very informative. The food in the bar/restaurant was really good and they had a wide range of options on the kids menu. The staff were friendly and helpful. It was lovely to see the manager helping its staff in busy periods. There was ample parking. We stayed in a penthouse suite which was very spacious and had a bath with jets which was a nice touch, it also had an inclusive minibar again another perk. The room was a little dusty but the cleaning staff were very receptive in rectifying this. The pool was a good size and clean. The hotel was family friendly as we stayed with our 3 and 1 year olds. Would definitely go back for another stay.

A lovely room and pleasant staff but the bathrooms and spa are a little run down.

Room smelt dusty with little air flow, and we could hear the lift all the time. Breakfast chef was not willing to provide items prior to close time of the breakfast period. Very little staff would do to assist.

I’ve experienced the best food all over the world and surprisingly, this hidden gem is up there with them.
