전체 평가 및 리뷰 Bournemouth East Cliff Hotel, Sure Hotel Collection by BW

언덕위 바다 조망의 깨끗하고 안락한 호텔이었습니다. 객실 크기는 비교적 큰 편이었고, 직원들도 친절했으며, 조식도 훌륭했습니다. 사용해본적은 없으나 수영장과 자쿠지 등도 무료로 이용가능하다고 합니다. 아쉬웠던 점은 욕실의 샤워 수도꼭지가 매우 독특한 (구형의?) 방식의 것이라 사용에 어려움이 컸던 것 입니다 (비슷한 후기들이 많이 보이네요). 반드시 호텔 직원을 호출해서 샤워 사용법을 충분히 익혀두시길 추천합니다.

시내 및 해변과 가까워서 호텔위치는 좋습니다. 시설이 조금 낙후되어 있습니다. 호텔 음식 및 안내 서비스는 상당히 훌륭합니다. 가격대비 만족스럽습니다.

We called in advance to inform the hotel that we would be checking in late, the lady on the phone left a message for the night staff. We arrived just before midnight to see a number on the front door saying to go to the Carlton hotel or call a number for assistance. Called multiple times, no answer. Went to the hotel across the road (Carlton Hotel) to see another letter on the door to ring a mobile number. Called the number multiple times - no answer. We had to forcibly pull open a powered door that was off, to get into the hotel after being locked outside for 20 minutes in the freezing cold after a long drive at midnight. There was also another couple who were already checked in that were locked out of the hotel! There was no staff at reception. We finally found a member of staff who apologised, stating his phone was on ‘sleep mode’ (do not disturb) so the calls didn’t come through. His number was on the front door to the hotel! We were then told we were staying at the Carlton hotel, and had been moved from the hotel we had originally booked. ‘They move all their winter bookings to the Carlton Hotel’. We eventually got our room keys, and 2 free drink tokens as a ‘sorry’. We get to our room and find a letter stating to claim free drink vouchers at reception. So not that much of a special ‘sorry’. The room decor was also awful. Horrible wall paper and paintings. In need of an update.

The breakfast is nice

The staff were friendly and helpful. The buffet breakfast was we'll stocked and enjoyable. The swimming pool was closed but fortunately we were able to walk to the hotel next-door and use their swimming pools. The Sauna and Jacuzzi facilities would have been very welcome, if only they were working! The room that we had on the same level as the reception wasn't great, as we didn't have any kind of view from the window. We were offered another room but declined it, as it was even less suitable for us. Anyway, it was just a one night stay, and overall, it was an enjoyable and worthwhile stay.

**this is a review of the Carlton hotel which we were moved to. We booked to stay for 2 nights at the East Cliff hotel as we were running the Bournemouth half marathon. We arrived on Saturday to be initially told that they are closing for winter and we would be “upgraded” to the hotel next door, the Carlton hotel, but we would have to stay the first night in the East Cliff hotel. Eventually another member of staff came over and told us she had managed to get us a room for both nights at the Carlton hotel instead, which did make things easier. The check in was good and the staff were very nice but unfortunately that is about as good as it gets. On Saturday we dropped our bags at the room and went out to meet friends. When we arrived back to the room there was a wedding going on and we quickly found out that the sound proofing in the rooms in not good at all. We were kept awake until 1:30am with the loud music, and we had to be up at 7am to get ready for the half marathon we were running which was really not ideal. Obviously this is no fault of the other patrons or staff, but it should be highlighted that the sound proofing is not good. We returned after the race on Sunday. We wanted to go in the jacuzzi/sauna, which we quickly found out were both out of order. It was raining Sunday evening, and when we returned after going for a meal we found that the rain had come through the ceiling and soaked our belongings. I did highlight this on checkout. Would not stay again.

Staff were wonderful, very welcoming, professional, and attentive.The room was above expectations, bright clean and comfortable.One or two minor areas of detail in the room need patching up but very acceptable.Common areas are excellent, breakfast was great and the breakfast team were super welcoming.

Very outdated decore in the bedroom. The bathroom needed updating as was difficult to work the mixer tap for the shower and the door didn’t stay shut

It was okay. I booked executive room whicb was average and had nothing special in it. Despite having patking available on site, i still had to pay £20 which was a surprise. Breakfast was average with very little variety.

Car broken into outside hotel. All facilities advertised were at sister hotel and limited openings times. Room itself was nice inside and great view but everything else is a huge let down. Also advertising an outdoor pool which looks like it hasn’t been used for years

Really enjoyed my stay here the stuff are amazing afte lr extending my stay they made it so we wouls stay in the same room to make it easier for us

I had a wonderful experience with my daughter. We ended up extending. The only thing I was a little disappointed in, was I requested to extend my stay and was told it was fully booked but I found exactly the same booking on Expedia for the days I needed. But honestly that’s a minor. The stay itself was excellent

I have a disabled son who is 8, hotel didn't have a lift to our room had to take stairs with suitcases. No help was given. In the room phone didnt work, room was not the one promised. It was not clean at all. Window's didnt open properly. No air conditioning in the room!!! We were sweating and still no help with it. No shampoo provided. Had to keep going down to receptionist for milk and cups or anything i needed with my son!! So bad as it was suppose to be my holiday! Even the pool didnt work and we were told to go next door to chrton hotel to use the facilities. No towel gown provided. Hotel decor worse outside and insidepool water next door was dirty and cold for kids, had the worse experienc!!!!! Im so unhappy and really want to speak to the management. .

The hotel was good. Was very windy and the windows didn't close very well but we managed. It was a nice surprise to have booked a family room and the kids had their own room and beds. All in all yes the hotel needs some tlc but it's been there probably for decades.
