Helpful and nice room

Accommodation was a little bit dated, but understandable as it is a long-standing establishment. Room was clean, bed was comfortable, and other furnishings satisfactory for an overnight stay. Staff were welcoming and helpful.

I had to do a detour from my schedule which meant i was quite late for check in. The staff couldn't have been more accommodating. Excellent!

Helpfull girl at check-in who shuffled things around and got me a ground floor room. Room was super clean, but quirky, with a mixture of modern and dated facilities. Main negative was the pool. Very very very sadly lacking in matainance. There was a scum buildup around the top of the pool and the surrounds had not seen a Gardiner for weeks. The weeds and dandelions were 30 cm high. The other negative to me was the strange smell in reception which drifted down the corridors at times. I think it was from the multicultural staff cooking in rooms behind reception, but I may be way off there. Overall a pleasant stay.
