I almost feel bad saying the room was dated because it was clean, had a beautifil view and everyone was soooo nice.

Esta muy cómodo el hotel, te preparan los alimentos a la carta y la mayoria del personal fue muy amable y servicial, por fortuna fui antes de temporada alta, si se va en esas fechas asegurense de reservar su restaurante para la cena porque sino no van a alcanzar aun si tienen paquete todo incluido, en las habitaciones no hay refrescos (los tienes que pedir en restaurante), lo triste es que no te puedes meter a nadar al mar por las corrientes pero tienen una picina con bar.

I have stayed at the Solmar a few times and have had great experiences. The staff is very friendly and kind. This time was still good, but unfortunately our AC unit didn’t work at all throughout the stay. We asked for people to come fix it and they said it was fixed, but then it wouldn’t start or turn on. Otherwise the rest of the stay was good and good service.

I booked this hotel for my daughter and her friend for spring break and they had a fabulous time. For the all inclusive it was extremely reasonable for the two of them and so on value alone I have to give it full marks. She said staff were incredible and their room was spacious and clean, more of a suite than a hotel room. Only a couple drawbacks…maybe because it was off season not all the restaurants were open all the time and there was no bar open late. The food was mostly good…don’t order Italian lol. Apparently there is a nicer part of the complex…those rooms include toiletries but theirs did not. And this is more of a ding on Expedia than the hotel but the shuttle does not run 24 hours as the listing states. It picks you up when you arrive but there are set times for departure. Because their flight times didn’t line up they had to book private transport which was $270 RT for the car (up to 5 people). But probably nicer than the shuttle. The hotel website is clear but Expedia listing is not. Overall a great experience for them!

Couldn’t have been happier

Great location, nice restaurants and bars, plenty of pools and big room with 2 baths

We loved Solmar. We always stay at Gran Solmar but I needed one more night of Cabo. I’ve always wanted to stay at Solmar. And it did not disappoint. The staff is wonderful. It was super clean and the bed was awesome.

A bit disappointing. I have never been in a cold jacuzzi before. The beach was on the pacific and unswimmable. The air conditioning in the room did not work worth a darn. Fortunately the evenings were cool enough to make the roo comfortable, but daytime. Was hot!

Our stay at Solmar was generally pretty good. Staff was great, rooms clean and comfortable, laid back and comfortable vibe. There was very little onsite entertainment options compared to other resorts I’ve been to. That really didn’t bother us much and you’re a hop, skip and a jump from the marina in Cabo so there’s lots to do there (but pretty expensive). The food was good but there aren’t as many options for dining as compared to other all inclusive I’ve been to. The other thing that’s different at Solmar compared to other destinations is they want you to sign for all food and drink orders (even though it’s included in the all inclusive fee). This wouldn’t bother me but the problem was we often had to wait a long time after a meal or drink order to get the bill. That got irritating after awhile and they should find a way to expedite that process. Over all we were pretty happy with the stay and I would say it’s good value.

My garden room view was gorgeous.

Wonderful trip

Feb 23 - Mar 3... 2026 What a nice place. Had a mixup about being set up for all-inclusive but was able to sort it out easily at check-in. Bonus for that was our room got upgraded from a Studio someplace in the facility to a nice 2-room ground floor room just a few steps from the pool/restaurant area. Absolutely loved it. Older building but extremely well-kept and maintained. Shower was hot, AC was good, full fridge, TV worked... Everything was just perfect. Restaurant (Tejeban) had a very good assortment of items on the menu and it's clear the chefs, there, know what they're doing. Every meal was delicious. Pool waiters were very attentive and active. Drinks came from the awesome pool bar and there was no drink they couldn't produce. Room cleaning was "Zena". She was awesome. Perfect in every aspect. In fact, every staff encounter was very pleasant, without exception. Solmar is something like a 10 minute walk to the south end of the Marina, which was also a real bonus. From there, you could walk into San Lucas Town within another 10 minutes, and it all felt very safe and inviting. The beach at Solmar was terrific. Can't swim or snorkel there because of dangerous riptides, but it was beautiful to walk, as MANY did frequently. Beautiful sunsets and sunrises. Even saw a fair bit of whale activity from the shore. I have NOTHING but good to say about the place. If we go to Mexico again, we'll be at Solmar again. I'd recommend it to anyone, esp with poolside room.

La parrilla de la estufa muy vieja, uno no calentaba y la otra calentaba en segundos y no tenía control de la temperatura. Pedimos vista al mar y nos dieron la habitación 2201 edificio A. Vista parcial muy minima al mar. El hotel es viejo para el rango de precios que maneja. La atención es directa al extranjero , al turismo nacional lo restringen de algunas cosas que al americano no. Ejemplo: el turismo extranjero por pede apartar el mexicano no. La joven que hace actividades acuático solo integra a los extranjeros al nacional no, la música solo es en inglés, y un huésped blanco si puede comer Sabritas en la alberca y en mi caso traigo 2 menores no se nos permitió comer las mismas Sabritas que el extranjero. La señora encargada del área de alberca fueuy tajante , nos recogieron nuestras toallas y salvavidas de los camastros, que por qué no se podían apartar a los blancos si se les permite apartar. En nuestra familia hacemos viajes frecuentes a distintos puntos turísticos de nuestro país hasta 4 veces por año, Vallarta, mazatlán, nuevo Nayarit, la paz, puerto peñasco, el valle de Guadalupe y en ningún lugar nos sentimos así de mal.

Excelente servicio, todo el personal tiene excelente actitud, en especial Cristopher y el resto de chicos del restaurante el Trébol!!! En la recepción excelente todo y los chicos del lobby tienen excelente actitud. En general todo excelente

La comida en la parrilla carísima y horrible

Habitaciónes Viejas , la cama literal se sentía de piedra el aire acondicionado fatal no enfriaba pasamos bastante calor , ellos manejan las temperaturas no le puedes bajar ni mover jale a recepción y mandaron a mantenimiento y aún así no enfriaba bien ..

This is a 50 year old resort that is showing its age. Not enough electric outlets for charging phones, iPads, cameras etc. Plumbing (hot water controls were problematic. No oven. Half the burners didn’t work. No wine glasses (Don’t you bring a bottle of wine to your room?) Do you like to warm up leftovers from a good meal? Room had a great view, easy beach access and pools were nice especially hot tub. Found a nice snack bar/restaurant that was reasonably priced. High end restaurants in hotel weren’t that great. It did inspire us to go to town and look around. Location was convenient. Easy to find whale watching and other cruises.

Beautiful beach, clean pool, only downside is ocean swimming isn't allowed on that side of Cabo.

The resort was great. The pool area is lovely and relaxing. The beach is walkable but no swimming . The restaurant has great views and the staff is happy and helpful.
