We stayed at Solmar for three days before moving over to Grand Solmar. Amenities were nice. Only issue was we did not have a lot of hot water for showers.

Good experience for a two day stay.

Enjoyed the pool. Location was good but downside was that it doesn’t tell you it’s up on a hill and if you don’t want to pay taxi/shuttle daily, it is a hilly long walk.

The doorknob to our front door came off and the hot water knob also came off. We made them work to avoid having workers in our space. The pluses of this place: location and price. Drawback: you get what you pay for. If you don’t mind dated rooms that may or may not have broken parts, go for it. The pool and hot tub are nice and if you want, you can pay for a day at the neighboring property.

We loved our stay. The rooms need to be renovated but we weren't there much and the beds were comfortable!

La habitación es excelente,la amenidades igual,la cama cómoda,solo le faltan almohadas chicas ,solo tienen grandes y no son cómodas para dormir ,la cómida muy buena ,las áreas super bonitas ,las albercas y el personal todo excelente, gracias.

Great location! Friendly staff, clean pools, grounds were well kept. the beach was beautiful and clean, only down fall couldn't swim in the beach due to high tides.

We stayed at facilities for the day while our room was being ready. This place is the Real Deal. Very Safe. Friendly Staff, beautiful pool by the Beach delicious food Private Beach.. This is going to be my family retreat From here on Thank You Carlos and staff!!!!

Es un lugar que ofrece una vista espectacular. Tanto el restaurante como las albercas hacen que te has una estancia muy agradable y disfrutable. El personal Que atiende realmente amable. Seguro que volveremos.

Great location. Amazing views of the tip of Baha. Service was Amazing From front desk. Pool staff was just ok, to busy with their own agendas… this is a great location and their newer property next-door is impeccable. Awesome.

We really enjoyed our stay at Solmar. We purchased the breakfast only package and really enjoyed starting our day at restaurant with ocean view. I was surprised that our room came with two bathrooms which was nice for my daughter staying in living room area.

Big rooms with kitchen. One bathroom glass door was missing and one stove burner was not working. Ocean Views at the room are amazing but the beach is very dangerous and swimming is never permitted. We will not return. Staff was seldom nice only three were nice of many that we spoke with. Most employees were afraid of management. Too sad.

So let me clarify, I guess there's an old and a new section. We were only there for one night so they stuck us in the old rooms. I'm assuming. These rooms are old in need of updating not the cleanest beds aren't the most comfortable sheets and pillows are scratchy. I went for a walk and the new side is spectacular. Very nice. Now we were never in a room, but I'm assuming the judging by the exterior of the place that it was way better than where we were. I would consider the room that we were in to be a one star room. So if you're booking, make sure you ask for the new side because the old side, I most likely wouldn't stay there for free.
