This was our 3rd time at Sapphire. We keep coming back primarily because of the staff. They are AWESOME! Everyone were consistently friendly, attentive and do an incredible job of drawing you into the daily activities.
Food was above average. Nothing spectacular but this is a reasonably priced all-inclusive resort. You want fancy/high end, might look at an "a la carte option. (That said, their chicken wings and all food at Bordeaux were great!)
For those of us who like to get back to a quiet room at a reasonable hour, we really appreciate that the pool and beach areas were quiet by 8-9pm.
Sapphire offers free guided bike rides daily into Puerto Morelos which is always a great trip and highly recommend doing. Just make sure you arrive by the waiting area 15-20 minutes early to make sure you get on the list as they are limited by number of available bikes.
We stayed in a preferred club, ocean front room with a jacuzzi tub on the balcony. Room was clean. View was great and we truly enjoyed our morning time watching the sunrise from the tub! Housekeeping had the room cleaned/reset each morning by around 9am.
The beaches were constantly being maintained and seaweed cleared. Sapphire was one of the cleanest shorelines.
Being our 3rd trip (my wife, me and 3 "children" ranging from 20-22 yrs old), we left already talking about next time!
Shout outs to some memorable staff: Wendy Pedro in the World Cafe, Dave in the lobby and Ricky, Joe and Mar with Entertainment.
