Enjoyable stay at the pines, with nice clean spacious rooms and a good nights sleep. The hotel as a whole is a little dated but has been kept clean and cosy. The Spa and pool were not too busy at 6:30pm. Free parking too as a hotel with free parking is a rarity these days!
Food wise, wasn’t great for the prices they are charging
Bbq wings were not really bbq wings unfortunately. Needed a bbq sauce to dip into / drizzle over rather than the slop that made its way into two of the five wings. Accompanying coleslaw tasteless. Disappointing for £9.50 and had better in chain establishments
Steak and Ale pie was decent, steak a bit chewy. Mash was great and a small side of carrots and tenderstem broccoli
