It was confusing tonfind the hotel caused jt had the old sign instead of Baymont. They are remodeling so hotels grounds look messy. Julia was excellent when she checked me in. Overall had a pleasant one night stay.

Advertised online as a Baymont. Sign said Michigan lodge or something like that, so was difficult to find. Was told they were in the process of changing names. Looked like they were remodeling. Huge rolls of carpet in front of our room so had to park across the lot. Dumpster overflowing with garbage bags. There were beds and other furniture on the roof and flipped over on the balconies. Advertised as a king bed, was actually two twin mattresses shoved together with a sheet on top. Figured that out when I rolled over and fell through the crack between the two mattresses. Very disappointing to spend almost $100 on a room and have to look at rolls of carpet blocking our window and have trash all over the place. Unfortunately I forgot to take pictures because my husband was in a hurry to leave.

While the hotel has the name of Baymont Wyndham it is an old hotel that is being converted to the above. Our room was clean but the door frame was rusted and hard to close. Overall it was outdated.

The hotel had no power

There is not a baymont sign at this property so we drove past it. Room was dated, but worked for us. We didn't shower, so not sure how that was. Bed was ok. Had snowed during the day and we had a hard time getting turned into parking lot. By morning it was cleared. They did have covered parking which was nice

It was all great

Floor was nice but just seemed like it was just a nice motel 8 or something. Out dated with nice floors I can’t stand moldy carpet so as long as it’s not that at a hotel I don’t mind

Price

The rooms are small and the TV is very difficult to work with (delays locating stations), no coffee maker in the room, however, the room has a microwave, a refrigerator, and a decent tub/shower, though small. The floor is hard so bring your slippers! Good breakfast room and selections, though no fresh fruit. Staff was very good.

This hotel was not what we were expecting, not very nice at all. The staff was very nice though!!

Was not easy to find because the sign is not up dated as of 3 5 2025 . Went passed it several time not noticing The banner on the building.

The hotel is rundown old the heat is not controllable the room has piles of dirt in the corners. The room wasn’t worth $25 dollars a night let alone the $100 per night I paid. Would not recommend staying here to anyone

I was a little disappointed about the misrepresentation of the online photos compared to the actual condition of the property.

Staff was amazing. Sound was a HUGE issue, as was safety. The stairs to the 2nd floor are crumbling and the fire alarm was hanging off the wall. The bathrooms haven't been updated since the 70s. This "hotel" is the definition of "lipstick on a pig"

We booked then entered the room and the smell of cleaner was horrible. And the room was gross! We refused to stay. We got our money back thankfully but have been fighting for the $97 incidental deposit back. After numerous calls and promises it will be refunded still nothing back!

Thexroom was freezing and never did warm up. The tv is very hard to use. Not at all like the picture or reviews. Very expensive for the condition

The place was dirty. The filter on the heater was so filthy I pulled it out and put it to the side. There was a cold draft coming from under the door, that I had to put towels down to block the draft!

Very nice smart beds and smart TV. Was not expecting that!

Another good stay and the now Baymont Petoskey, previously the @Michigan Inn. Convenient for a ski weekend with easy lower level access to your gear, great hot breakfast opebs, and located between all the skiing and food options. Looking forward to returning next year!
