We wanted a hotel that is near the beach, affordable and also with easy access to town centre. Unfortunately this hotel is extremely run down. I heard that some of the executive suites have been remodelled (only rooms with aircon!) but the standard room we stayed in was in a terrible condition. Wallpaper on the walls and ceiling were peeling off, mold on all silicons in the bathroom and the shower head was orange from build up. We had an unfortunate timing as another room had left their water running which left us and some other rooms without any cold water. The staff offered us a single room to take a shower and also a complimentary late check-out which we greatly appreciated. Overall, if you can get a good price on the hotel, it's probably alright. If you're sensitive to cleanliness, I would not recommend this place. The staff were nice and accommodating.

Ideal overnight whilst attending a function

Room is hot, they provided small fan in the room- but still won't give you good sleep. Toilet is disgusting, dirty and need to replaced new one! Room is old, and needs complete refurbishment. What annoyed me most, wifi was not working- and we complained about all the issues we raised- however no compensation was given. Elevator not working, indoor pool is super tiny, outdoor pool is dirty and not allowed to use ( under maintenance ). Parking charges is ridicilous, £20 per night, £1.60 text notification charge. They almost charged us twice- so hence better to keep an eye of your expenses. Please think twice before booking this hotel.

Enjpyed all facilities, only removed a star as the pool closes quite early.

Tired hotel, bathrooms need a massive overhaul. When checking in your questioned if you'd like housekeeping, yes please! Nothing until the fourth day, then they're banging on the door at 10 despite checkout being 11.

Great room, clean and well stocked

Its a bit tired but fine. Nice big room and comfortable bed. View over the carpark sadly with a noisy fan or generator or something directly below so couldn't open windows due to the noise, that would be an issue in the summer i expect and wont be a problem for all the rooms. About a 15 min walk to the station or to town. Wish I'd booked direct as expedia was almost double their onsite price

Reception, main foyer and bar are well maintained im afraid the rooms are very dated and depends where you are. The rooms can be very noisey. Expecially if you are close to the bins or the heating units.

On arrival reception wasnt welcoming. Just minimal conversation to book you in. Hotel is tired and needs some tlc. The bar was extremely expensive. There was no one at reception on checkout. Just felt like there coukd have been more effort made.

The indoor pool is a little to small and had some old lady makeing comments about me haveing my baby in the pool but other then that I couldn’t think of anywhere better to stay I even books a extra night

Good room with a sea view. Good breakfast.

Staffs are friendly

worst check in ever experienced , Patricia at the front desk did everything in her power to make us feel unwelcome, she was backed up by her equally unhelpful / spiteful manager Noelia. Its a shame as the Hotel itself is a grand building with beautiful views over the sea facing the isle of white. The room we had was spacious with a comfortable bed . House keeping was sub standard though . If this hotel was taken over by a good hotel operator it could be a jem !

Very strange and confusing experience with parking registration ​ "I recently stayed at this hotel and encountered a very confusing situation at check-in. I noticed a tablet on the reception desk for parking registration. When I entered my car's registration number, the screen clearly displayed a message saying I had free parking for 24 hours. ​However, as soon as the receptionist saw this, they became visibly unhappy and told me I wasn't supposed to do that. They claimed that the free option on the screen was for 'other types of guests' and insisted that I had to pay for parking separately. To my surprise, the staff member then immediately moved the tablet out of my reach/sight. ​It felt very unprofessional and lacked transparency. If the hotel’s own system identifies a vehicle for free parking, why would the staff discourage using it and hide the device? It felt like I was being pushed to pay for something that the system had already cleared as free. I hope the management can clarify why there is such a difference between what the screen says and what the staff tells the guests."

The family room we stayed in was very big although the beds was not very comfortable also the bathroom was very basic and the shower was ridiculous it took us over an hour to get showered as there was little pressure in the shower and the water just trickled out

Needs updating, furniture in bedroom chipped, scratched. Sink cracked and dust on bathroom floor in corners, mould around bath edge. Pool area rundown and a charge for towel. Expensive car park. Lovely big room with fantastic view. Staff very helpful, friendly and polite. Good breakfast choice. Loved Christmas decorations.

We had a lovely stay here for 1 night. We had a family room which is very spacious. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We used the pool and sauna which is a great facility of the hotel. The only thing I would say that need an upgrade are the showers, they are very low pressure but are lovely and hot. We'll definitely stay here again.

Check in staff were excellent , Room was cold and a bit tired otherwise all ok .

Felt like 'home' for a few days... despite the unexpected parking charge!
