Clean room picked riverside four poster . Not really a great riverside view due to flat roof . Water in the evening for the shower was like warm We did mention it and the morning it was sorted . Parking was good and easy . Lovely walk into the city . I thought breakfast was included and considering we already paid £215 midweek I think it was quite expensive without breakfast

Excellent in every way. Easy to get to, responsive staff, comfortable spacious room, perfectly maintained, and a short scenic walk into town via the cathedral grounds. I'd list negatives but there weren't any.

Hotel and grounds were very nice and parking was easy. Having seen they had a restaurant, was a little taken by surprise to find out they did not serve dinner. They do provide transport to restaurants in town though

Really enjoyable stay. I didn't realise they had no restuarant for the evening, however they do offer a shuttle service in to the town centre which will drop & collect you at a time that suits you

Great location, easy parking and the cathedral view was a dream! Actually looked like a painting when you pulled the curtains back 😍. Staff were really efficient and friendly, what a amazing city break.

Great location by a river, overlooking the water meadows to Salisbury Cathedral. No lift, but staff showed us to our room and helped with luggage. The hotel runs a useful free minibus into the centre each evening, to enable easy access to local restaurants. Pleasant bar and terrace. A lovely short break.

It’s a renovated hotel, the staff are courteous, and the river proximity is lovely. Overall our stay was okay. We are a family of four and ordered the family room which turned out to be on the lower ground floor. The room was dark, north facing, and has a damp smell. There is access to a patio but it is shared with another room and during our stay those people were out and their kids were playing ball. We had no privacy and were forced to close the curtains. The room is not well lit—there’s one ceiling light but it is cold white and unpleasant. The breakfast is very basic—too basic for the price: no kids yogurts, simple bread, and gas and baked beans and some meats. A few cheeses. Only French press coffee, no non dairy options. It’s a reasonably clean hotel, but the windows and the window frames were very dirty. Overall, not overwhelming but also not a disaster.

Great place to stay see the river and beautiful views

The room was spotless, the breakfast was very good, there was plenty of parking spaces and the staff were very helpful, polite and friendly. Thoroughly enjoyed our time at The Riverside and will stay there again.

We had just a 1 night stay, but facilities were great, staff were very friendly and helpful, especially with the evening shuttle service. Lots of parking and access in and out of the city. I didn't stay for breakfast but my daughter said it was great. This was my second visit and I'd highly recommend this hotel for a stay in Salisbury. The views across to the Cathedral are stunning.

Good would be better if dinner was available

The breakfast menu was excellent. The room was better than when we last stayed. Great views and spotlessly clean. Best of all were the staff. They were all so friendly and helpful. Parking was good and the complimentary minibus into town is brilliant (with a very friendly driver).

Very clean rooms, very good staff and one of the best breakfast I’ve had for a long time

Room was so clean, only thing the extractor fan in the toilet was really dirty and was at eye level so was obvious to see. Other than that, amazing!

We had a fantastic stay at The Riverside Hotel beautiful views from hotel bar and patio, easy walking into the town past the cathedral. Friendly helpful staff, clean comfortable room with good quality teabags.
