The Field Station is a great spot to base yourself while enjoying Joshua Tree National Park. The lobby is like a small REI store + starbucks for your last minute items. The rooms are super clean and have little touches like a peg board wall to hang your hiking gear and toilet paper hung from climbing rope. For the money, a great value. We will be bringing our extended family back soon for a longer stay to see the whole area. Aesthetics from road don't tell the story, so check it out.

The staff was fantastic, they accommodated a last minute request, and were totally hospitable. They provided maps of the area, had suggestions of where to go and what to do, and answered all our questions. Highly recommended and looking forward to staying here again.

The staff was all very friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and clean, and the bed was super comfortable. It's not fancy, but again, super comfortable and clean. I would definitely stay here and recommend it. I just wish there was a coffee maker in the room.

The hotel feels brand new and is in perfect condition. The design is modern, minimal, and stylish while still keeping an outdoorsy vibe that fits perfectly with Joshua Tree. The staff is outstanding—super friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help. Don’t be discouraged if the location seems a bit away from the park entrance or town—everything is actually really close by. Pro tip: plan your visit through the West Entrance for the best access.

Clean, basic rooms. The fridge made some loud noises on my stay. So much so that I thought something had exploded but it was just a buggy fridge I guess. Also, the hairdryer was the worst. Very loud and not very effecient. Overall it was a great place for a few days and would stay there again but bring my own hairdryer.

There are some local eateries fairly nearby and the room was very clean, spacious, and nice. We really enjoyed our one night stay here.

Great stay! Beds wonderful! Clean. Lobby has the best service and supplies. It was a busy weekend with music venue nearby… it was loud but so fun!
