Overall, I highly recommend this place if you are coming to Tamarindo and want a very comfortable stay right on the beach. This hotel has carefully and thoughtfully implemented various procedures for ease of guests and tidiness of the property. For example, each guest receives a wristband which not only is waterproof, but also serves as a room key. No need to worry about keeping track of a room key when you go to the pool or beach. Secondly, they have a great foot wash station and outdoor shower right at the property entrance to the beach which is convenient to clean up all the sand from the beach when you get back to the hotel. The pools are nice and cleaned daily. There is lots of wildlife even at the pools. We saw some large iguanas at the main pool, as well as an armadillo in the bushes next to the pool. Breakfast buffet was very extensive and delicious. If you need to leave very early morning, they staff will prepare a to-go box of breakfast for you with fruits, a sandwich, muffin and a drink. It was so nice when we had to leave at 4:30am for the airport and we were able to bring the packed breakfast with us. The rooms are very comfortable, the A/C works very well. the sunset ocean view from the balcony is fantastic! If your room faces the main road, you will hear car noises at night.

We liked that the ocean was right out the back of the hotel. All the food was great. Can’t find anything that we did not like.

Excellent staff from front desk to rentals to cleaning staff, super clean facility. Even with all the wind causing leaves and such to fall in the pool, the staff was constantly cleaning. Breakfast was decent - quality of the cheeses and cold cuts was poor, in my opinion. However, there were many other options to choose from. We had a room with a view of the ocean, I think it's the Sunset room, and it was lovely. However, the bathrooms and rooms need a little bit of an upgrade, especially the bathroom. I'd definitely go to Tamarindo Diria again. Bonus! The extra pool across the street was soooo nice! Felt like a luxurious Vegas pool (complete with swim up bar).

Close to everything! Many dinner options to choose from. All restaurants were clean and food was excellent.

We had a great time! The view and easy access to the beach, the staff were attentive, the buffet breakfast was delicious, and the hotel restaurants were also great. The pools were awesome, and they even have an adult only pool. Definitely will live to come back and recommend.

Everything was as expected very nice hotel and staff

Property was well maintained and very clean. Staff was nice, helpful and friendly. Some could not speak English well. The bars were well stocked, and had good service. Breakfast was delicious with many items: eggs cooked to order, pancakes, waffles and lots of other items. Rooms were roomy, and very clean. The bed was firm but didn’t make our backs hurt The hotel owned restaurants were delicious. We will definitely return.

The property was beautiful. The rooms clean and comfortable. The only complaint I have is that the maids did not replenish the bathroom amenities every day. You had to call the front desk and request the items you needed.

My husband uses a walker, and the room and staff were extremely kind and helpful. The gym was a little small but all other accommodations were perfect. The location was ideal, the breakfast was super,

We had a wonderful experience at the Diria. The hotel is beautiful and so lush. 3 pools and the swim up bar made the entire stay relaxing. Plus there are many restaurants on property that had delicious food. The monkeys in the trees were a plus. Our room was well appointed and modern. Spacious bathroom and shower. Loved the patio overlooking the expansive pool. Pros: Plentiful and delicious breakfast buffet. Close to everything. Very secure. A room for every budget. Helpful staff. Swim up bar. Monkeys and iguanas. Great shops. Cons: Confusing parking. Luggage drop off cumbersome. Only 1 TV channel - Spanish news. Inconsistent shower temperature. Peddlers everywhere.

Beautiful Hotel, monkeys swinging through the trees and the biggest iguana I've ever seen, and the sunsets took my breath away. I'm already dreaming about our next visit.
