I recently stayed at this vintage boutique hotel, and it was a total delight. Tucked away on a quiet street, the hotel had a faded elegance that made me feel at home right away. Directly behind Frenchmen Street, it is within walking distance of some of the best jazz spots and a few good eateries.

Fun neighborhood access to a pool

Room was so cute and clean. Pool was so nice and refreshing! Parking easily accessed and safe. Can’t wait to stay again!

Good location! The property is outdated, I get the old vibe and it’s nice, but they should add practical appliances like microwave and mini fridge to the rooms. And the air conditioning should be fixed or changed for a bigger unit because the it does not cool enough, especially like the big room we stayed in.

Lamothe is close to ALL the action: Frenchmen, French Market, Bourbon st, canal for public transportation. The pool is open all night for an even dip. And the staff is wonderful! Nothing is too much trouble for them.

An absolutely lovely hotel. The room was very spacious and air conditioned. The staff went above and beyond expectations with their helpfulness - we cannot thank Palestine Riles enough! We would recommend this hotel to everyone - it is situated in the French district and very close to Frenchmen Street where we enjoyed many music sessions and lovely food. Thank you for everything!

Was blown away by our room! Exceeded my expectations, and the staff were so helpful!

We got there and they casually mentioned they were changing our room due to lack of AC. Took us to a room with one bed (our reservation was for two beds), then switched us to a room with two beds at my insistence. AC did not work in that room either. Mentioned it to staff who didn’t say anything in response. Manager was nice, but staff had no customer service skills. No mention of WiFi or ice. Good location, rooms were lovely, but not very comfortable. Manager took off parking fee for inconvenience.

The hotel is an incredibly well preserved house from the 1830s well situated in the French Quarter within walking distance of many of the cities attractions. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. We stayed in one of the suites and it did not feel like we were in a hotel at all. The suites do face the road, so be prepared for normal city noises, but the ambiance is well worth a little traffic.

Overall this was absolutely annoying experience. We wanted to love this hotel but the pool was filthy upon arrival. Looked like a swamp then it was closed the next two days of our stay. Fire alarms were going off at 7am!!! and then they out the day on our last day. Crew was very little help. NO ELEVATOR! and we were on the 3rd floor. AC was very low. You will sweat at night. I called Expedia for compensation as it was in the high 90’s the whole time we were there and the main reason we chose the hotel was for the pool. Coffee maker was terrible and not clean enough. Under the bed I found a Bobby pin and under a tv a piece of gum. We will never return. This is a hostel at best! No fridge, microwave, very noisy at night.

The hotel is so quaint and quiet. I loved the historic look of the rooms. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub. The cleaning lady was so nice and Ms. Carol and the other guy up front were so welcoming. I will stay there again in the future!

This property was the perfect location, exactly between the French Quarter and Frenchmen Street. We walked for everything - food, entertainment, etc. The historic building is charming and beautiful. The pool area is beautiful and perfect for relaxing and recharging. The staff were more than accommodating! We will definitely come back!
