Pool good and well kept. Staff nice

Absolutes Standard-Hotel für Massentourismus. Personal ist sehr bemüht aber man merkt dem Hotel die Jahre an, Renovierung wäre wirklich angebracht. Die Geräuschkulisse ist schon sehr stark. Mehr als zwei Nächte kann ich hier keinem Empfehlen zu verbringen. Es sind einfach zu viele Gäste auf einem Fleckchen zusammen. Frühstück ist auch absoluter Durchschnitt.

Die Wände sind dünn und es ist dadurch recht laut in dem Hotel. Wartung und Reparaturen in den Zimmern können über mehrere Stockwerke und Flure gehört werden. Das Reinigungspersonal unterhält auch sehr laut miteinander. Viele andere Gäste sind lange wach oder schon früh unterwegs, das macht die Nachtruhe sehr kurz. Das Restaurant ist zu Beginn des Frühstücks um 7.30 Uhr sehr voll und laut. Die Auswahl des Buffets zum Frühstück und zum Abendessen ist OK. Das Abendessen hat kleine Variationen an jedem Wochentag. Die Reinigung des Zimmers ist ohne Mängel. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.

This hotel was a great location for us with walkable access to downtown Funchal (about 30 minute walk). Good restaurants nearby and downtown. Hotel is up on a hill (about 70 meters of considerable incline), so that was unexpected, but for us did not create an issue. Parking is limited at this property and we were not aware originally that you could reserve the parking ahead of time and for an additional fee (7 euro per day). The staff were very helpful however and offered off site parking to us nearby for the same fee. Again, not a problem for us, but may be an issue for some (150 meters away from the hotel). Rooms were standard (we did not have a balcony), but this is not a very new property, so there is no air conditioning in the rooms. Good breakfast with good options and fresh bread and buns everyday. The property also offers dinner options on site, but we chose to eat outside of the hotel. This was a good stay and we were thankful that when our flight got delayed we were able to stay at the hotel and our room for an additional night. The staff was helpful and even provided us with a kettle for our room (we did not bring our own as we came from Canada).

Idéalement placé dans le quartier Lido de Funchal a 20/30mn a pied de la Marina. Plusieurs piscines .petit dej buffet varié

Hotellet är mysigt och frukosten är helt okej, det finns mycket att välja på, men det är lite trångt i matsalen, särskilt på den sida där man hämtar maten. Hotellet ligger nära centrum (mindre än 30 minuter till fots, och det är en härlig promenad). En del av personalen skulle dock kunna vara lite trevligare, främst i receptionen, men detta gäller inte alla.

Chambre et hôtel très propres. Lit confortable mais chambre un peu "vieillotte" et mériterait rénovation (les photos sur le site de réservation laissent croire à quelquechose de mieux). Pas assez de prises dans les chambres. Personnel très efficace et multilingue. Buffet très varié mais jus de fruit moyen. Hammam en panne, dommage car le sauna est petit (et le jacuzzi aussi). Nous avons passé un bon séjour et l hôtel est bien situé.

Pequeno almoço fraco, estacionamento insuficiente e difícil. Hotel a necessitar de obras de manutenção profundas, instalação de ar condicionado, renovação das redes de TV, instalação de tomadas.

Café da manhã indiscutivelmente tem tudo de bom. Bolos e pães de diversos tipos. Tem até almoço no pequeno almoço

Good hotel and lot of things to do.

Very unhelpful and unpleasant front desk staff throughout our stay. Room was poorly equipped, safe was broken, sliding balcony doors did not close properly, no fridge or basic room amenities. Overall very disappointing stay. Only positives were the cleaning staff and the breakfast buffet staff (both of which could provide some training to the front desk and evening restaurant staff on customer service).

Not a 4 star hotel. Needs an upgrade worn and tired. Breakfast poor. Coffee terrible. orange juice not real. Room clean etc but worn out.

The staff were good, the room very clean, they were cleaning every day, the linen and towels have been changed,very clean. The breakfast was good . Thank you!

Horrible hotel. Unfortunately we had to stay here because our flights got canceled. Everything was absolutely disgusting the hotel rooms had bugs we had to switch rooms and the washrooms were gross. The breakfast was another matter everything was cold and oily there were bugs running across the serving tables. The bread offered was as hard as rock and even the coffee was bad. No point in paying extra for breakfast when this is how it is. Especially with bugs on the serving counters of the buffet. Please stay away this place is a health hazard.

We were not told of the steepness of the path leading to the hotel, which was difficult for my wife to negotiate. We were half board but we're not told drinks were not included with our evening meal, not even water. We also were not told whether we could bring our own drinks in, even if it was just water. The staff were not very helpful if you did not want to buy drinks and if I'd known that you could not have brought your own water to dinner I would not have booked this hotel. There was not an all inclusive option available when I booked this hotel so we should have been told that soft drinks would/would not be allowed at dinner Instead of being watched suspiciously by staff whilst eating our meal. I don't want lots of additional costs to my bill at the end of my stay and don't see why I should pay exorbitant prices for drinks when absolutely no alternative, not even water, is offered. As I said, the hotel should say brought in soft drinks are allowed at dinner or offer at least one free beverage per night, especially when a all inclusive option is not available at the hotel.

Property was close to restaurants and staff was very friendly. Only stayed here one night in between coastal towns.
