석양이 아름답고 전용 바다수영장이 있어서 휴양하기에 너무 좋았어요 항구가 가까워서 카프리섬 다녀오기도 편하고 렌터카로 포지타노, 야말피 가기도 좋아요(길이 좁아서 운전은 초고수 정도 되야함) 그리고 직원들도 각자 위치에서 성실하고 좋았어요

물론 막 완전 럭셔리 호텔 sofitel이나 Ritz에 견줄 수 없지만, 소렌토에서 후회없는 아주 만족스러운 호텔. 바다조망을 해야 저 멀리 베수비오 화산과 바다전망을 볼 수 있음. 절대로 바다 조망 안하면 갈 필요 없는 호텔. 사진보다 실물이 훨신 이쁜 호텔. 강추

Great views of Sorrento and the bay

I cannot more enthusiastically recommend Gran Hotel Royal. We had bay view rooms which were amazing, especially at night with the balconies. The breakfast buffet was outstanding and service impeccable. My son sprained his ankle prior to our stay and they had crutches available as well as further recommendations for medical care. If we are ever back in Sorrento we would stay at the Grand Hotel Royal without hesitation.

Amazing property and great staff

The property is beautiful and the staff are welcoming. The views are to die for from your room. The breakfast is really nice and the pool is beautiful. The jacuzzi which is part of the pool was a nice addition but could have been warmer. The rooms are a generous size and gorgeous. You have a turn down service at night and left a chocolate which was touching. I throughly recommend staying here, it was first class in every aspect.

Outstanding hotel for location of shopping and food

Beautiful property

The property is nice and has an amazing view. However for a 5 star expensive hotel, they really need to consider doing the following: 1. Consider a welcome drink at the time of check in 2. Consider hydration and coffee station on the main hotel entrance level 3. The rooms are nice but the hallway floor is not padded so at night you hear every step of a flip flop outside the room door 4. The swimming pool closes at 6 pm. That is way too early. Consider extending pool time to 8 pm. 5. You cannot eat at pool side. If you want to eat or have dessert, you have to leave your poolside lounge and go sit in their pool restaurant. Consider changing that policy. It is nice to eat at the pool side. 6. Not all the waiters are well trained. I asked one of the terrace waiters to get me french fries. His reply was that I cannot get French fries unless I order a cheese burger. I had to call for head waiter to solve this issue. Finally, I ended up getting my side of fries only, without having to order the burger. 7. The gym is very small with mediocre equipments. There is no view to the outside. It is located at basement level. 8. They need to upgrade the coffee provided in the rooms. The quality is poor. 9. The food quality was average. We actually went to their sister hotel ambasciotori and had dinner there one night and food quality was way better. 10. There are weddings almost every day. The night before we left they had a wedding/party with loud music past midnight.
