Staff are excellent, particularly key restaurant team members and the concierge. More family orientated than anticipated, could do with an adults only bar adjacent to the AO pool. Significant wasp problem in August, couldn't eat outside before 8pm.

The staff and the location were amazing. Food was excellent. Our room was nice and had plenty of space. The bathroom was a bit dated but that was our only very minor complaint :).

Disappointed they fail to book my spa appointment even it was confirmed before our arrival and haven’t received any of the vip treats I’m supposed to have with Expedia membership.

Perfect in every way! This is what 5 starts looks like! My husband and I were traveling for our wedding anniversary, and our Secret Suite was perfect--the private pool, the patio, the concierge, the breakfasts...it was all heaven. The hospitality is warm and down-to-earth. The food at the restaurant is amazing--including amazing vegetarian dishes. The resort includes different activities like yoga, cocktail-making classes, and wine tasting. For an unforgettable experience in the Algarve, don't hesitate--book this now!

The Octant Vila Monte is a beautiful hotel set into the countryside about 4-5 miles from the beach. As soon as we arrived we felt relaxed and peaceful as the hotel, its grounds and our room were presented beautifully. The staff in all areas were so kind, friendly and helpful and went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. The breakfast was outstanding with fresh produce and a stunning view and the hotel restaurant served amazing food each day. The adults only po was t heated but with the sunshine that wasn’t a problem. I borrowed a bike to cycle into the local towns which was a great addition. All in al, highly recommend - we’ll be back as soon as we can!

Stor, flot have. Rummeligt værelse med stor terrasse. Velholdt tennisbane. Dejligt med opvarmet pool. Hyggeligt ned to kælne katte på stedet. Der var ikke særlig rent i fitnessrummet. Pizzaerne i restauranten var lidt kedelige. Vi havde problemer med både TV og aircondition, men begge dele blev fixet, da vi henvendte os.

Octant Vila Monte was a lovely surprise, such a charming hotel with great service! The common areas were beautiful, the room was big and charming and there was a lot of attention to details, which made all the difference. Staff was not only kind but very professional. This place is out of the movies! It is so amazing and worth every 2nd of the drive to get there! It is next level beautiful experience! Trust and go, you will not be disappointed in anyway! That’s all I want to share because it is such a special place!

This was an unexpected outstanding property. The grounds are magnificent. The rooms are lovely and very well appointed. And the staff were all super friendly. We absolutely loved this place and would highly recommend it.

Vila Monte was simply spectacular! The rooms were spacious and beautiful and the grounds were breathtaking! Rui and Oliver at A Terra were so sweet, Ana from housekeeping was just lovely, and Bruno at eh pool was just great! We will definitely be back again but next time stay longer!!

Best service ever, staff will go above and beyond, they give a lot of attention to details. This place is extremely kid friendly while keeping the exclusive boutique vibe that you would expect.

The outside area of Vila Monte is basically a lush and beautiful garden. There are two outside pools advertised as heated and useable all year long. However the pool is around 18 degrees so I would not consider them heated at all. The rooms were okay but the cleaning was not thorough - there were spider nets and dried out mosquitos from last season. Further the A/C emitted a nasty smell even after we had changed the room upon request. The premises used to be great for sure but they are worn down a bit. The staff however was friendly, no complaints there. Overall, I wished better cost performance.
