Good service, breakfast was a bit slow and eggs not great. Rooms are good and comfortable. Plenty of parking. Sadly this place would be very good but no EV charge point is what drops it to one star for me. I find this inexcusable.

It was a nice hotel, location was great. The people were very nice. However the room we were in had difficulties with opening the door and the room was very dusty everyday. Even though they came in and cleaned the rooms everyday, it was still dusty. There was a constant moldy smell. Would give them another chance though if we were to want to take a break to relax.

Check in was smooth and front desk staff was helpful. Did attempt to book the restaurant prior to arrival, communication was missed but booking was made without confirmation. Not a big deal but plans were up in the air for a bit until check in.

Great service, especially check in and the restaurant

The hotel room was very warm and air con did not cool the room. As a result I had a very poor sleep, the main reason I stay in a hotel.

Excellent check-in. Large room, good bathroom, very comfortable beds.

Hotel staff made the stay for my son and I. Went above and beyond for his 6th birthday and he felt like a king. Bed was comfy, room was spacious and clean and had everything we needed. Dinner in the terrace lounge did take quite a while to come, but was still nice. Breakfast was lovely. All in all a great stay and will definitely be back

Lovely breakfast and beautiful grounds. Small village within a 6 minute walk. Hired a private meet and greet taxi for little more than the average taxi. Great start to a vacation.

For the price, I would not recommend the Dunboyne. The room was a standard hotel room and had a very stiff bed. The food (both the restaurant and the breakfast buffet) were both akin to frozen food. Overall, we were expecting a “castle experience” and felt like we were at a standard 2-star hotel or motel.

Everything was great, the only issue was that the walls were not very well sound proofed, snoring one side and kids the other. The bed was very comfortable though.

Our 4 night stay was thoroughly enjoyed, especially during our sessions booked in the Spa. The breakfasts were very good and we had a lovely evening meal in the Bar, where Staff were especially friendly and helpful. The July downside was our experience in The Ivy Restaurant where, on a Saturday night, it was incredibly noisy. After sitting at pur table for 5 minutes, being unable to hear ourselves think, let along hear ourselves speak, we decided to make our apologies and left, going to The Bar downstairs to eat instead. Advice: there are specialist Companies who can help with your noise problem in The Ivy Restaurant; noise absorption and noise reduction Specialists. Instead of the noise from talking bouncing off and around so many hard surfaces, until it becomes unbearable, there are simple things like adding materials to Decor to absorb sound. We would not choose to eat in The Ivy Restaurant, unless noise reduction improvements were made.
