Small cozy resort. Lots of chairs. Well kept and beautiful. The beach is all sand and shallow. No stones. Right behind the property.

El hotel está genial, personal muy amable y el trato excelente, el buffet muy buena calidad y no faltaba producto. En general una estancia fantástica. Recomendable al 100%.

Vooraf doorgegeven (bericht en gebeld) dat we laat zouden toekomen voor check in. We hadden niet echt welkom gevoel. Bed voor kinderen was niet opgemaakt , kan gebeuren maar de reactie aan de receptie was: ah nee nu nog niet naar huis” bed werd opgemaakt en maar 1 kussen vr 2 personen en we hadden geen handdoeken: terug naar receptie: kon je ons dat niet eerst zeggen was hun reactie. Euh wij zijn de gasten toch? De foto van junior Duitse was misleidend en bleek een sofa bed in living, om de rug van zonen te sparen hebben we een upgrade bijgekocht. De uitleg van wat waar te doen is in hotel is niet duidelijk althans voor ons. Er is een Franse animatie team die voor alle Franse gasten een heel mooie receptie en uitleg geeft en interactie met animatie heeft met hun landgenoten , wat heel goed is maar voor diegenen die niet via die organisatie hebben geboekt voel je je minder betrokken. We kregen zelfs speelgoed op ons hoofd gesmeten terwijl we ook inzwembad ah zwemmen waren, waarbij de reactie eerder was : wat doe julliebjier ipv een excuse of speel je mee? Kinderen zelf dan maar gentertained. Alsook aan andere gasten de uitleg gevraagd wat is nu inbegrepen van drank en wat niet. Er zijn een aantal zeer goede obers maar toch vele die overwerkt zijn en geen energie hebben om werk te zien. Ik had hogere verwachtingen van Barceló, maar het voelde alsof er op budget moest gelet worden terwijl je toch een redelijk hoog bedrag betaalt. Ewpierence was ok, maar kon beter.

I can't say anything bad about the hotel, since it was a pleasant stay for my husband and I. We came from the US and we loved the place.

The hotel has seen better days, but we still had a good time overall. The outdoor pool area was nice, though the water was too cold to use—heating it would help. There is a small indoor heated pool, which was appreciated but limited in size. Breakfast was excellent—the best part of our stay—and deserves top marks. The padel court was a major disappointment. We booked in advance, but it was covered in moss and leaves, making it dangerously slippery. It looked abandoned and should either be properly maintained or closed. Cocktails were poor, and the bar staff seemed untrained. If you want a good drink, go elsewhere. Our room was nice, and we enjoyed the large balcony, but the beds seemed shorter than standard, and all of us found the pillows too thick. When we asked the staff for a nearby restaurant recommendation, they couldn’t help at all, which was surprising and unhelpful. In short, there were some bright spots—especially the breakfast—but too many negatives for us to consider returning.

Large beachside hotel **** just outside Ayamonte. Great Junior Suite. Spacious and comfortable. Very busy during our stay but the staff helpful and attentive. Great food available.

We are in our early 50’s and we were the youngest ones there by far. Older crowd!

Room safe broken, staff was very rude.

Hotel maravilloso, personal encantador, cruzando la calle una playa magnífica

I visited Barceló Isla Canela for 5 nights on my own as a summer break while my children were away. The hotel was beautiful. The rooms were modern and clean. The breakfast was fresh and there was a massive selection of foods. The pool area was well maintained and the staff very friendly. I used the gym daily and although it is small it was well enough equipped for a hotel gym and everything was very new. It’s somewhere I would love to return to with my two children, there was a great family atmosphere while being luxurious

Really enjoyed our stay at this Hotel, excellent service and friendly staff, the rooms and property itself were clean and the food was great with a good and tasty variety at the buffet. For us, the only negative side was the entertainment program during the day which was a bit dull, but I also understand that this was because most of the other guests were from a much older generation.

It would be nice to have bidets in the hotel rooms

Tres bon hôtel, cuisine excellente et variée mais trop salée et emplacement trop bruyant. Personnel très accueillant et serviable. Remercier les femmes chambre ! Piscine très jolie. Met à proximité. Difficulté pour louer une voiture car trop cher.
